According to Sportsjoe, Tadhg is about to sign a nice central contract worth €400-€450

Expect grumblings about double standards and other players not being offered as much.

Nah, the best paid players in rugby these days are tighthead props, its not unusual for them to be the priority budgetwise

Yeah because the grumblings are usually rational and based on sound logic.

In fairness, I wouldn't worry about the grumblings of the lunatic fringe, its the grumblings of the saner fans that I, for want of a better word, heed - and they'll be aware of the market.

Interestingly it's kinda similar to American football, where the best paid players are usually the QB and the Blind Side/Left Tackle (which is where you'd probably stick Tadhg were he to play it).

Great news if true. Every team in Europe would want Tadgh.
MF should be great fun today.

If he grew about 7/8 inches and put of 4/5 stone maybe.

I believe consent is the crucial factor that you are looking for there.

For vegans that is.

I was never worried that Tadhg was going to go. He wants to play for Ireland and the IRFU are committed to making that happen.

Makes absolute sense. He's the only Irish player that would be in 90% of people's world 15. Unquestionably world class. Murray, Sexton, O'Brien etc are all in the top couple of options, but not as certain as Tadhg.

Totally agree on Furlong. Think Murray and Sexton are pretty much irreplaceable in terms of what they contribute at the moment given Jackson's situation - Joey moving forward but still very much in development phase - his kicking is nowhere near international standard for example. Albeit with Luke moving in the right direction at 9 just not quite there yet.

Anyone have the list of who is out of contract in May. Our old mate Mildly normally has a thread somewhere.

With Ruddock, Furlong and Ringer signed the only ones I know for sure are up are Cronin, Nacewa (hopefully be skills coach next year) Murphy (Ulster) and Rob K.

There are plenty more I am not sure about. Chief among them JVDF and Luke McGrath.
