Fergus McFadden(31)
Sean Cronin(31)
Michael Bent(31)
Ian Nagle(29)
Dave Kearney(28)
Rhys Ruddock(27) - rumoured 2 yr extension

Josh Van Der Flier(24)

Need for 4th outhalf though, especially with none in academy.

Timmins should try to convert to hooker.

Marsh will surely get an extension. Must be on peanuts and is a handy 4th choice outhalf. Top notch barnet too.

Daly is in danger I'd say. Unfortunate that he hasn't gotten a chance this year, like Marsh he could be a good lower choice 12.

Yeah but even if Marsh is offered an extension, would he take it? He'll be 26 before the end of the season so is coming into his peak and the next few years are crucial regarding what he achieves in his career. Could go to Ulster or even Connacht, or maybe across the water (hopefully to a bottom half Prem club and not slogging away in the Championship).

We need to figure out a way of differentiating the two Daly's.

I was about to bite your head off for saying Barry Daly shouldn't get a new contract.

Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014
Ruddock(c) 19/2 Tackles

Word has it that Michael Bent has also renewed. Tadgh was big focus but Benty will probably play more games for Leinster over the contract period

That's great news too. Bent is an incredible valuable member of the squad and a good guy too by all accounts.
He's also an excellent foil for Porter and won't stand in his way.

A Leinster committe guy on Sat said that they had been told 36 contracts now signed and biz nearly completed. He seemed well satisfied.

36 out of 66 (?) players when you include academy. Aren't the more recent academy recruits on 1 year deals now? Wonder if it might include a new signing or two?
Look out Itchy, he's Irish

Connacht would take your right arm off for another IQ out-half so if Marsh wanted to go he'd be heading West. Timmins is also a guy I could see being signed either by Ulster or Connacht if he leaves as well.

I don't believe that Cronin is going anywhere. It was mentioned at the weekend and someone who should be in the know was dismissive.

That's good news on Cronin, hopefully he maintains his form and cements himself as our #1.
