Edinburgh v Leinster Myreside Friday 7:35

Post by arsebiscuits1 »

Not sure who we will get back for this one.

At the moment it is looking like it will only be Daly and Conan given Jordi probably goes to 20 and if Joe hinted that Larmour will get game time this 6N Italy is probably the time to do it.

I think Porter is going to be 24th man. Was he against France?

Byrne Byrne Bent
Molony Fardy
Deegan Conan Murphy
JGP Byrne
Reid ROL
Daly Isa Byrne
Dooley, Strauss, Heffernan/Vakh?, Nagle, Kearney, McCarthy, Marsh, Kearney

Yeah just saw that over on Boards. Haven't seen anything about it. Someone like COB to wear 22 with Isa covering 10?

We might get Porter back this week (at least to bench) with Kilcoyne back in the Ireland squad.
Look out Itchy, he's Irish

It's possible that Conan could be at 6 if JS thinks he's going to need him there.

I could see Conan starting at 8 with CJ off the bench, as the latter put in an enormous shift in Paris.

Doubt CJ will be rested. Injury to VDF means Leavy and Murphy make the squad Conan goes sub sub.

They didn't take a back row as 24th man last weekend. I don't see why they would this time. Dillane was 24th man with Henderson presumably covering the backrow.

I don't think Conan, Leavy and Murphy will all be involved in the match day squad. Only was that happens is if POM or CJ is dropped completely. And CJ was on media duty today

Generally though I don't think Leo\Stuart like playing guys if they haven't been training with the squad all week, so I'd say even if we did get em back they'll be on the bench.

......Unless there was a Joe request to play em of Course.

On basis that only 2 of Fardy, Lowe and JGP can be picked, Lowe is likely to lose out, due to less call-ups to Ireland in his positions

You are. It's actually part of some EU law, rather than just a rugby thing.

Aside: I assume this also applies to internationals too - So like we couldn't have Aki, Bleyendaal and Payne or Ah You all in a match day squad?

Will Will Connors be off playing 7s or will he be available for selection? He might be needed at openside if they're not going to go for someone like Timmins out of position.

Adam Byrne is apparently fit. Would rather see him than Keenan

Is he fit though? "Returning to training" covers a multitude!
