If the big clubs take that seriously then it could be brilliant once the group phase is over. Tough group for Connacht though, they don't have the squad to compete in both that and the league.

That has now become a serious competition when you review the various Pools. e.g. Pool 4: La Rochelle, Bristol & Zebre - Lam v Gibbes v Bradley - plus the Russians to keep them honest.johng wrote:Pool 1

That's about as good as possible for us and Munster. Two English team each. Munster will certainly know West Country rugby by the end of the year whereas we're fairly familiar with our three opponents.

Trips to Bath and Toulouse are nice places to visit.
