I really don't worry about his game time, been doing it for so long now that it's clear he can cope. Remarkable really.cormac wrote:Just over 1,800 mins.Peg Leg wrote:How many season mins has Toner? Some engine for someone so consistently brilliant.

As an isolated selection, i.e. ignored the eligibility conundrum, the scrum-half selection may comeback to bite us. Combined with the return of McNickoll possibly facing Larmour, Davies v McGrath is the best advantage Scarlets have today.

I'm surprised Fardy isn't playing and I know he offers a lot off the bench, but if we're not gonna start him, isn't it better to bench JGP over McCarthy?
There won't be a dry eye in the house when Isa bows out. Hopefully we're ahead by a margain and he can be subbed for a big ovation. Spare a thought for Niall Kiely everybody.

Well today won’t settle anything- for anyone with a particular view. I obviously hope Luke goes well- but his form has been only okay of late. Maybe an injury lurking there affecting things.Oldschool wrote:Or lame maybe.artaneboy wrote:Except it’s not dead; just not worth the hassle.wixfjord wrote: Keep on flogging that horse dude

McGrath is getting the call as first option now, but we’ll find out what the coaches really think when Jamie finishes his project period and gets his inevitable cap. Then the Kolpac issue won’t be clouding that choice.

In this context, Kolpac is about both: one defines the other.
There are probably about 50 posts over the last six months explaining why and how.

Re: Pro14 Final Leinster v Scarlets Sat 6PM Aviva Stadium
so if he's capped for Ireland without having citizenship Kolpac doesn't apply to him?
didn't know that

Re: Pro14 Final Leinster v Scarlets Sat 6PM Aviva Stadium
You're both wrong. Kolpac is a treaty/ruling that exempts SA players and players of PI heritage from the Visa restricitions applied to NZ and Aus players. If JGP is capped by Ireland he'll be here on a different visa and the rules that apply to him currently won't apply. It's not called Kolpac.Oldschoolsocks wrote:so if he's capped for Ireland without having citizenship Kolpac doesn't apply to him?

Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014
Ruddock(c) 19/2 Tackles

The TG4 pundit analysing James Ryan before the game must have said "dochreidte" about 20 times

The lack of release on Lowe by halfpenny completely ignored there.

Meh, I'm usually with the defender on that one.FLIP wrote:The lack of release on Lowe by halfpenny completely ignored there.
Scarlets are lying on the wrong side and playing the ball on the ground enough to get warned and enough to force us to commit extra men but not getting called for it.

When the player has released the ball and has gotten to his feet? You can't be on the side of the defender on that one. He's no longer the defender.ronk wrote:Meh, I'm usually with the defender on that one.FLIP wrote:The lack of release on Lowe by halfpenny completely ignored there.
