LH Prop: Jack Boyle(St. Michaels College) - U17
A starter last season at loosehead for St. Michaels while in 4th year, the 16 year old loosehead prop has been a star in St. Michaels this season especially for his bally carrying in the final. The former JCT number 8, helped lead Michaels to their 3rd SCT title this season and he will return for his final season next year.
Hooker: Lee Barron(St. Michaels College)
A starter last season at hooker for St. Michaels while in 4th year, he was a key member of St. Michaels SCT winning season, despite going off with a shoulder injury in the final. Luckily it appears he has recovered for Ireland schools where he will hope to impress even further, before returning for his final season with St. Michaels.
Lock: Alex Soroka(Belvedere College)
After having his season cut short last year with a shoulder injury, the big lock/number 8 was the driving force behind a strong Belvedere pack in his final season playing schools rugby. His future likely lies at lock at U20 and professional level, will he be able to push for Irish under-20 honours next season? Or a leinster academy place?
Backrow: Will Hickey(St. Michaels College)
The versatile backrow has experience playing 6, 7 and 8 for St. Michaels, this season he focused primarily on number 8 and possibly had his best game of the season in the SCT final. Returns to St. Michaels next season.
Scrumhalf: Ben Murphy(Pres Bray)
Murphy, the son of irish skills coach Richie, is back for his second season at this level. The diminutive scrumhalf will hope to push his case for a potential academy place next season while playing for Ireland over easter.
Centre: Karl Martin(Boyne RFC) - U17
Martin, who has the rare claim of playing for Ireland u18 as a under-16 last season, returns in the centre, capable of playing inside or outside centre. The sky is the limit for this club player who returns to school next season.
Outside Back: Chris Cosgrave(St. Michaels College)
Cosgrave, returns for his second season at this level where he has featured more at fullback than his natural outside centre. The goal kicking versatile back, had a queiter than expected cup with ball in hand, mostly due to Michaels less ambitious gameplan. Returns to St. Michaels next season.
Outside Back: Jamie Osborne(Naas RFC)
The final leinster player in the the Ireland u18 squad, starred during the interpros for Leinster u18 scoring 5 tries from fullback. The versatile back has experience playing throughout the backline for his school and club and returns next season to both.
