That was the START of great interview and then it stopped abruptly.
From what I understand it is an incredibly tough mental challenge for young men just out of school. Its especially difficult if they are commuting distances to get there. I admire their discipline when they know there is a low acceptance from the sub to the full time academy.

The travel issue looks like it will be resolved. There are plans in place to develop a number of centres of excellence. Mick Dawson mentioned IT Carlow, IT Dundalk, Kings Hos (that was a bit left field).

I'd personally like to see one in the midlands.

I think he was talking about lads in the formal sub-academy, which will still be based in Dbrook.

those centres of excellent presumably will be used by shane horgan teams or at least thats my reading of it.

Me too. Mullingar or Tullamore possibly. Kings Hos probably to cater for West Dublin/Louth/Meath/N.Kildare (the Pale), although Donnybrook is less than 30 mins away.

Aaron O'Sullivan was in Belfast with 20's on Friday, which is good to hear. Also started for UCD U20 before the game was called off due to the pitch.

Murray Kinsella
There's a two-page spread on Irish rugby in today's Midi Olympique.

One piece entitled 'La Masia of Dublin' looks at the production line of players coming from schools and clubs in Leinster.
