No Hugo Keenan or Michael Silvester, wonder if that means anything, re: their future.

They sure aren't afraid to promote lads. Penny would normally only be joining the academy this year.mildlyinterested wrote:Academy Players Promoted to Senior Squad;

Re: Academy 2018/2019
Jack Kelly the only 3rd year academy player not promoted, given he is playing 7's I wonder if that's where he is headed.
Re: Academy 2018/2019
Had you mentioned earlier in the season that you had heard one of our back 3 were going to be concentrating on 7's going forward and the presumption on here was that it was either Adam Byrne who was totally out of the picture at that point or Hugo Keenan given his previous 7's experience. So maybe the intel was right just our guessing of the player was wrong?mildlyinterested wrote:Jack Kelly the only 3rd year academy player not promoted, given he is playing 7's I wonder if that's where he is headed.
Apologies if it was another poster.

Keenan, Silvester & Kelly had all been focusing on 7's since the turn of the year.
Re: Academy 2018/2019
We have to promote more to cover provincial attrition. 7 senior squad players confirmed leaving. 1 signing.the spoofer wrote:They sure aren't afraid to promote lads. Penny would normally only be joining the academy this year.mildlyinterested wrote:Academy Players Promoted to Senior Squad;

All the lads have shown enough at senior level to have earned contracts.

Very unlucky if that happens. A good player with an excellent skillset and good game appreciation.mildlyinterested wrote:Looks like Brian Deeny will miss JWC due to injury.

Re: Academy 2018/2019
Leinster U19 interpro against Munster is set for August 26th.
So looks like 19 interpros moving to August much like 18 did last year, unsure of venue.

Re: Academy 2018/2019
Jack Kelly scored a try last weekend for the 7's team, has been named in 7's squad for Paris this weekend too. His future at leinster is still unclear, but he is still just 21 and captained the A team this season.

Re: Academy 2018/2019
watched 1st half of both games where leinster were dominant..
Jimmy O'Brien, Jack Kelly, Paddy Patterson were excellent in the backs, Ryan Baird, Jack Aungier and Ronan Kelleher stoodout in the forwards.
