What wind: https://www.windfinder.com/weatherforecast/dublin and click Superforecast for an hourly one.curates_egg wrote:Wind looks to be pretty much the same for the whole match https://www.met.ie/.Oldschool wrote:Looking at the weather forecast this could be a good game to win the toss.
Shouldn't be a factor if we continue playing the type of rugby we've been playing. We're not Munster.
...a beautiful weighted pass...it is 3 on 2...it is 3 on 1...Hickie!...Magnificent!

MET forecasting slightly more but not much either. That was my point.ribs wrote:What wind: https://www.windfinder.com/weatherforecast/dublin and click Superforecast for an hourly one.curates_egg wrote:Wind looks to be pretty much the same for the whole match https://www.met.ie/.Oldschool wrote:Looking at the weather forecast this could be a good game to win the toss.

Either way, whatever wind there is appears to be relatively constant and from the same direction, so no difference what direction we play in which half.

That's now but what will the forecast be at 19:40 or thereabouts tonight?curates_egg wrote:Wind looks to be pretty much the same for the whole match https://www.met.ie/.Oldschool wrote:Looking at the weather forecast this could be a good game to win the toss.

This is Ireland remember.
It was quite breezy this morning then it started to rain and the wind dropped.
That was all in the space of a couple of hours.
The met office will readily admit that the closer the time of the forecast to the event the more accurate the prediction both in degree and obviously timing.
So a quick call to Joanna at 19:30 or thereabouts might be in order.
Needless to say that if any English sounding accents make similar enquiries that they be given the appropriate information.
Pretty much rules out Messrs Easterby or Lancaster (no offense meant obviously).
This is one call the big man himself should make.
C'mon Leinster.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Sun out in Dublin 2 now looking like a nice evening. Slightly worried with everyone feeling confident. Wasps do have the firepower to score a lot of points if they are given the space. The opening match disaster 3 years ago still fresh in my mind.

Surely the fact that Cronins pass was going 2/3 yards forward should rule out the deliberate knock on?

If he'd gone to the TMO... Really dumb knock on given the trajectory from Cronin.
Wasps have been disciplined and tough in defence.

Lengthy ban for Rhys I think. That was a thuggish blindside cheapshot.

James Lowe. James Lowe. James Lowe.
Re: Leinster v Wasps Friday BT Sport 7.45
Great use of bench tonight and 9 day turnaround before Toulouse. Everything looking good.
Re: Leinster v Wasps Friday BT Sport 7.45
Brilliant performance - what a marker to lay down early on.
Amazing a much vaunted Wasps attack made no line breaks- not one. Also they made 1 visit to our 22 all game.
Tough to single players out but special mention to J Lo who is now undroppable - delighted also for Luke Mc who supported brilliantly.
What a centre partnership we now have - BOD/Darce like.

Clearly there was internal competition between the Senior team and the A Team for points scored. Those 160 minutes of Leinster rugby against Munster A and then Wasps were a demonstration of the appetite and hunger of a terrifically skilled Squad. Superb performance by the Coaches, but what a Squad of players with great attitude and skills that can take your breath away.
Well done all, a great start on yet another long journey.

Lads, for godsake I hope footage of Lowe doesn't make it back to NZ. He'll be offered an All Blacks place and a bumper contract in 18 months if he stays in this form
EDIT: For our sake that is. If he did get an opportunity to play for the ABs you couldn't begrudge him
