There is very little between Cooney and JGP/McGrath. If we're not calling them 'top class' then he isn't either!

I believe they all are "top class".

Are they in the same class as Arron Smith and Murray? I don’t think so? So they can’t by definition be “top class.”

And there was me thinking if they each played in a winning HCup team that might be a reasonable measure? or in the case on 1 of them having a HCup winners medal and being widely acclaimed as replacing the irreplaceable in Ulster.
But if the measure is being the best or 2nd best in the world, then I agree with you.
But on that measure the Leinster team currently only has Furlong and Sexton who could claim to be Top Class.

C’mon- it’s not just the top two SH though, there’s a slew of international 9s that are in the category ahead of them. All of the three guys are very good players. But they are far from bring Top Class currently. In the future; who knows?

All our geese can’t be regarded as swans- just because we know them well and like them. Some balance is needed or we become delusional. That way England rugby fandom and media lies...

We have 2 proven 9's and lot's of potential.

Anthony Horgan, Ian Dowling John Kelly and Mick O'Driscoll all have Heineken cup medals, all good players but probably not top/world class. Of course, this is all very subjective and everyone has their own view but with regard to Leinster, we have 7 players who were Lions and add to that the likes of Van der Flier, Leavy, Ryan, Larmour, Ringrose, Lowe and maybe Conan who would all be in the frame for the Lions. You'd have to think that's a fair indicator. It's hard to see McGrath in that light at the moment though hopefully that will change and he will improve.

Who and how did I misquote? Specifically please.

BTW- your “Luke McGrath is the No.1 SH, JGP is the No.2” statement, (did I get that right?) is the equivalent of a teenager saying ‘FACT’ after throwing out an opinion which they know will be contentious. A rationale would be useful.

It’s obvious the Leinster management don’t see it as that clear cut.

For f*cks*ke...I'm disgusted by that. With respect to JGP who's developed really well over the last year and obviously would have expected to be an important player for us by the time he qualified, I absolute hate that we're losing a really talented local lad, and that we lose yet another player to Munster.

Been saying this for years but Munster should have gone for a project nine years ago, but yet again we're the ones who do the work for them.
