Any word on Ferg's citing hearing?
Re: Ferg
Nothing yet - suggests the lawyers are involved. Probably some sort of technicality around not being able to clearly see what happened.

Re: Ferg
Following a Disciplinary Hearing today via video conference, Fergus McFadden has been banned for six weeks. He will be free to play from midnight on Sunday, 25 August, to ensure the ban accounts for meaningful matches played by Leinster Rugby and Irish Rugby.

It's standard enough.wixfjord wrote:A deserved 6 weeks, absolutely stupid from a guy who should know better.
The 'meaningful games' thing is a bit weird though, don't think I've heard that happen before.
He misses HC Final, Pro 14 semi and possible final. He misses 2 Ireland games.
Maybe they're counting the playoff weekend.
It's a long break.

Re: Ferg
Could he appeal? A longer ban wouldn't really impact one way or ther other. Feel sorry for the lad, not his finest moment perhaps but nothing compared to the antics in the ASM vs Toulouse game were players got off scot free. Missing 2 finals is harsh and given the intensity of the rugby at this stage of the season we could really use him.
Flash ahhhh ahhh, he'll save every one of us
Re: Ferg
Given his previous record he was very lucky to get four weeks taken off the ban. If he appeals there is no way the six weeks would be reduced, especially considering he didn't contest the original charge.Flash Gordon wrote:Could he appeal?
