Re: Leinster Academy 19/20
Well now, this is a strange one.

Have never been a fan of Leamy as a person. But he seems to be building a good coaching CV.

What do you know of him as a person?
Re: Leinster Academy 19/20
His petty snipes at Leinster players and coaches over the years is what I'm referring to, both on and off the pitch.backrower8 wrote:What do you know of him as a person?

I'm usually worried about people leaving the academy, kind of forgot how attractive it must be to coaches all around the world.

I don’t like any of that stuff either, but it’s not what comes to mind first when I think of Leamy and maybe historical competitive jiving is too narrow a basis for defining him as a person.wixfjord wrote:His petty snipes at Leinster players and coaches over the years is what I'm referring to, both on and off the pitch.backrower8 wrote:What do you know of him as a person?

As a Leinster fan and having seen some of his media comments and on field stuff over the years that's my perception of him.
But I'm sure he's a grand chap and certainly the brains trust in Leinster have seen something in him to appoint him. Good coaching CV too as I said above.

Old Belvedere beat Trinity today, Ethan Baxter is a really special player he was phenomenal today. Justin Leonard played really well and had a few good cross field kicks, Ben O’ Shea and Karl Martin stood out aswell. Liam Macmahon was Trinity’s best player.

No Tommy O'Brien for A team, hopefully he isn't injured again after going off at half time last week.

Re: Leinster Academy 19/20
As soon as they reach agreement with the 'host' establishments is the word around the Branch. It's not totally staighforward as they need strong established institutions which will continue in existance in the long-term and prioritise rugby whilst not being seen as a "biased" location against any Club in the respective Areas.
Plenty of work done already in planning, design and fund-raising but Leinster have got to be certain they have chosen the right partners before they make any announcements.
