They moved the emergency medicine directly to the site of maulings.
Re: Pro14 season suspended
If they are behind closed doors, you can just play the games at the semi pro grounds like the gnoll , st Helens, sardis road changing rooms and playing surfaces are fine and they have press facilities etcXanthippe wrote:I wonder how they plan to play the ‘inter pro’ games in Wales when the stadiums have been turned into hospitals
It's a non starter anyhow I can't see it happening our lockdown is stricter than England and rugby looks no where near to be played again

As per Murray Kinsella and ors
IRFU has confirmed that professional players won't be returning to training next week, as had originally been hoped.
Players will be contacted again in June with further information, based on government guidelines.

New signings to be eligible for Pro14 action from July 1st onwards

Could see Snyman v Ryan and De Allende v Henshaw come August. That would be exciting.

Re: Pro14 season suspended
de Allende is decisively better than Henshaw IMO. Ryan is a better overall player than Snyman but Snyman has him for sheer size, which counts for a quite a lot.wixfjord wrote:New signings to be eligible for Pro14 action from July 1st onwards

Ryan is our small lock. Toner is big.neiliog93 wrote:de Allende is decisively better than Henshaw IMO. Ryan is a better overall player than Snyman but Snyman has him for sheer size, which counts for a quite a lot.wixfjord wrote:New signings to be eligible for Pro14 action from July 1st onwards

Dose Dev start next year if Fardy is retained and if not why are we comparing him to a Munster starter?ronk wrote:Devin looks forward to proving you wrongmildlyinterested wrote:Well Snyman is a lot better than Toner.
Re: Pro14 season suspended
I always found de Allende quite limited in his play although capable of being very effective and equally impressively rubbish in a team not winning collisions.neiliog93 wrote:de Allende is decisively better than Henshaw IMO. I thought the Stormers backplay suffered as a result of his propensity to carry rather than pass.
Although Henshaw has great moments not sure his overall level is as close to them as one would want it to be.
We shall see I suppose.

Subject only to Dev's fitness, the answer is Yes against Munster regardless of Fardy, possibly a Farrell or Nucifora call.Jonny tight lips wrote:Dose Dev start next year if Fardy is retained and if not why are we comparing him to a Munster starter?ronk wrote:Devin looks forward to proving you wrongmildlyinterested wrote:Well Snyman is a lot better than Toner.

On the other hand, this is the outlook from Murphy in Leicester:

You'd swear his players were returning from a month on the piss sking.

I prefer Pat Lam's glass-half-full approach!Ruckedtobits wrote:On the other hand, this is the outlook from Murphy in Leicester:

Re: Pro14 season suspended
Snyman is a similarly sized but far better athlete than Toner. There's no real comparison in terms of strength, power, speed or agility. Dev has better mastery of the line-out and is probably also better at restarts, but Snyman has him everywhere else.

Not sure the best place to put this but thought it should go in here somewhere (Apologies for the size)
We could be looking at a much changed game
"World Rugby approves 10 optional law trials designed to reduce Covid-19 transmission risk.
Unions can use one or more of the temporary law amendments as domestic trials at elite or community levels."

Either just play the game as is or not at all.
If I wanted to watch different rules I'd watch 7s, Rugby X, or even League.

Not mentioned above. But would the scrum be removed as an option for free-kicks (and/or penalties).

Not might be everyone's cup of tea:

Those changes are unlikely to be used in the professional game
