No Gissing   and no Adam Byrnes....

Jowitt could cover lock if there's an injury OR is Chubby Cheika thinking of starting him there? Didn't think the earlier experiment worked that well..

3 hookers and just 2 second rows so no Ben. No surprises in that squad though

.........and three hookers??

Feel sorry for Ben. He's given his all and still missed out. Hopefully he'll get another opportunity to play in the Heino this season

Surprised at Byrnes omission :?:

The 3 hookers thing is WEIRD :?

What does it say to B Blaney but also Jackman that C&K are willing to omit a backup 2nd row just to have an extra option at hooker for deciding the final 22? Brian's probably delighted for his bro, but must be thinking the mgt are worried about him to be leaving Giss, Byrnes at home.

Also, Hepworth and Hickey excluded, meaning Bommer has to be on the bench, so why include 2 more scrumhalves?

Likely Bench? Byrne, Jackman, Miller, Ronan, BOM, Lewis, Kearney

Actually, I'm delighted for Bomber and I think he'll bring much needed experience to the game. He's been more out of the picture this year and I've never heard him complain.

No Ben G.

He's definitely done or said something to piss somebody off. What an asset he'd be against Trevor...

The way things are going, he could BE the next Trevor. Pastures new and all that.

Byrnes must be injured surely?

Jowitt looked out of his depth at lock against Connaught. I shudder to think what would happen to our set piece if Mal or Bryce went down with an early injury.

didn't see the match against Connacht, but I wouldn't be unduly worried about Jowitt. He's impressed to date. Sounds like nobody acquitted themselves vs Connacht to be honest..

I think it's bang on the right call. Hepworth is not an option, I'm sorry. As for Hickey, if they'd given him more time at OH I'd say yes, but imagine him getting into the game and struggling to get to the pace of it - could ruin our chances and his reputation (a la Tait).

Fingers crossed for Mal and Felipe - stay healthy guys!

Agreed ckav, he's been a cracking signing. But his best performances have definitely been in the backrow.

Incidently, anyone know his contract situation for next season?

Well, as we seem to have signed a whole new back row, I'm not sure where that leaves him. Are they developing him as a second row to replace Mal?

I think he's on a 2 year contract, but can't be sure.

Breener, are you out there..... :D

We've only signed keogh for the back row, haven't we? hogan is a 2nd row.

I thought jowitt was only on a year deal, but surely he'll stay on...?
