Rowan Frost for Leinster?

Post by Flash Gordon »

Former Ulster lock Tim Barker is considering an offer to return to the province after a fruitful season with Glasgow Warriors.
The 24-year-old from Dungannon moved to Glasgow when his chances of promotion within Ulster became limited.

However, after an impressive stint with the Warriors he is on the Ulster hit list to replace Rowan Frost.

Frost's contract is not being renewed and it is believed that Leinster are after his services.

Me too, the most Rowan Frost will ever contribute to Leinster rugby is the last minute penalty he conceeded at Donnybrook the Christmas before last to gift us a win. Very very average player....

Do you have a link?

I hope it's untrue. Even with Bryce Williams returning home, I'd rather see Leinster promote Devin Toner into the full squad. I even think Ciaran Potts could do a good job as a 2nd row.

Think you're being very unfair to Rowan...

I hear if you give him a sniff of the line he's in like Flynn....

Hes not a bad player ... very useful in the lineouts but needs to stop giving away needless penalties. He has improved a lot but will never make your first choice line up.

Perhaps his brother Jack would be a better signing? boomboom

Do I remember standing in the lashing rain in the 'Brook around Christmas before last, watching the usual freeflowing Leinster-Ulster encounter? It looked as if Ulster would sneak an unlikley win when I believe Mr. Frost went so far the wrong side of a ruck in his own 22 that his arse was inches from the leinster OH. Ref blew up and Leinster scraped by. Was a totally needledss foul that cost them that game and it's my abiding memory of him. Not sure what he adds to the mix really.
