How about his, based on Scouser Tommy, the top song amongst Liverpool fans (the tune is "my old mans a dustman")
Oh... I am a Leinster Lion
I come from Donnybrook
I like to sing, I like to shout
I go there quite a lot (LEINSTER)
We support the team that's dressed in Blue
A team that we all know
A team that we call Leinster
And to glory we will go (LEINSTER)
We'll win the League, we'll win the Cup
We'll win in Europe too
We played the Turnips for a laugh
And we left them feeling blue - LEINSTER
Oh... I am a Leinster Lion
I come from Donnybrook
I like to sing, I like to shout
I go there quite a lot (LEINSTER)
We support the team that's dressed in Blue
A team that we all know

songs
Minor correction to the Girve lyrics:
You are my Girvan,
You're always swervin,
You make me happy when balls are high (repeat "when balls are high" falcetto)
You'll never drop one
You are our top gun
Please don't take my girvan away
LEINS-TER!!
The return of Molly Mallone as a terrace anthem can only be a good thing.
You are my Girvan,
You're always swervin,
You make me happy when balls are high (repeat "when balls are high" falcetto)
You'll never drop one
You are our top gun
Please don't take my girvan away

BTW whatever happened to the plan to get those impressive "Girve the Sverve" tee-shirts printed up? Would love to have one for Toulouse.

Re: songs
If the min. run is only 50 it would nearly be worth placing an order and flogging them over there. How much were they each? Maybe a small profit could be even turned? Today a box of Girve tee-shirts, tomorrow a chain of highly sucessful fashion retailers through out the developed world!!Flash Gordon wrote:I asked Apple to guage interest and never heard back unfortunately....fungalboy wrote:Flash Gordon wrote: Ah yes, the falcetto (to be sung by backs and girls alone....)

Re: Leinsters Call????
This is a bit cheeky but no offence is intended...TrueBlue wrote:Lads, bored so decided to try and put my very own Leinster lyrics to Irelands Call, and its doing my head in at this stage!!!
Any ideas???
So far ive got:
Come the day, and come the hour,
Come our affluence, and our money,
We are here to support our boys in blue,
???
Leinster, Leinster,
Together standing tall,
Shoulder to shoulder,
We’ll answer Leinster’s call,
Shite so far(obviously) ...any ideas!??!
Leinster's Ball
(To the tune of Ireland's Call)
Envy our pay and take a shower,
Eat your turnips and boil the cabbage,
You have come upon a Massey Furgeson,
To watch the real masters at work...
Leinster, Leinster,
We've enough to buy you all,
Dole cheque, to dole cheque,
You know it's Leinster's ball!!!
May need a bit of tweaking...

Excellent work GOM!!!Grumpy Old Man wrote:May i offer this little ditty from the Monty Python collection (although it fits so neatly that it may already have been used)

Or lets make it universal:Flash Gordon wrote:Grumpy Old Man wrote:May i offer this little ditty from the Monty Python collection (although it fits so neatly that it may already have been used)
How about this?
"Every swerve is sacred
Every swerve is great.
If a swerve gets wasted,
BOD gets quite irate."
'Every pass is sacred,
every pass is great,
if a pass gets wasted,
BOD gets quite irate'
