Leicester Tigers season ticket holders can now buy their ticket for the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leinster

Supporters began queuing outside the Tigers ticket office at Welford Road at 4.30am on Monday.
Hundreds of fans have been buying tickets since they went on sale from the Tigers ticket office at 8.30am on Monday.

Linda Bradshaw, a season ticket holder in the Caterpillar Stand, was one of the first fans in the queue.

Linda, who began queuing at 5.30am, said: "Who wants to miss Dublin? We have queued early over the years - it's always fun. We want to make sure we get the tickets where we want to be.

"We are really looking forward to it. We are flying out on the Friday morning and coming back on the Monday."

Chris Richardson, a season ticket holder on the Terrace, was also one of the first in the queue, and said: "I have been to Dublin before. It is the place for rugby and the people."

They were joined by Ronald Williamson, a season ticket holder in the Goldsmiths Stand. He said: "It is my wife's birthday that week so we will make a pleasant weekend of it.

"Queuing for tickets is part and parcel of being of a Tigers fan and it is one of the reasons you like coming down."

The club has an allocation of 12,500 tickets for the match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday, April 9 (6pm).

Tickets are available exclusively to season ticket holders and are restricted to two per person for the first two days of sale (Monday and Tuesday).

Season ticket holders will be able to purchase up to a further four tickets after this period.

Tigers members will be able to purchase tickets from 8.30am on Wednesday, two tickets per person.

Tickets are priced at 30, 35, 40, 50,60 and 70 euro (£26-£62, payment is in pound sterling).

If any tickets remain after sales to season ticket holders and members, we will provide further information for general sales at a later date.

Interesting tactic to keep them out of the lower tier. Block 120 is the only one in the lower tier and it is a small block in the corner
Will it work?

Season ticket holders only, for the first 2 days. If they were lining up since 5.30am it will be sold out pretty quick!

The other interesting thing is:

2 tickets per sth for 2 days. THEN 4 tickets per sth. (so all sths get a fair shake first, THEN the ones who want more get another go)
THEN the equivalent of Blues members get a go. THEN public sale.

The only downside is that you can't get 6 tickets in a line.

Might be worth logging on for the public sale though. They may sell out before, but then again 12500 is a lot for an away match in another country, even for Leicester.

Looking at their site I would say that after the initial rush of the dedicated fans they will very probably have some left over and that it would be worth anyone who doesn't have tickets having a punt .

I bought tickets to the pre season friendly with Leinster.

Might be worth a look. I have a logon for their ticket site anyway.
