I was talking to someone who was on holidays there last summer and they said if I ever went check the bar prices before you order, they went into a piano bar and pints were €27, needless to say they left after the first one with lesson learned, well they drank it very slowly waiting for the "entertainment" to start but it was just some bloke playing piano !

are you sure someone was not on the fiddle :)
Get the same bullshit in Temple Bar and tourists are constantly complaining about it. Beer is expensive in that part of the world but I reckon that the Toulon fans will know the best places to go if we ask them nicely.

got my tickets! behind the goalposts - the stand tickets were gone!

Its an omen! I have never got good tickets when we have won away - great seats in Toulouse '10 and Wasps

The rest where always in the corner or behind the posts and we won! delighted

Qoute - "Get the same bullshit in Temple Bar and tourists are constantly complaining about it. Beer is expensive in that part of the world but I reckon that the Toulon fans will know the best places to go if we ask them nicely."

Toulon's a fairly working class, rugby loving town and you shouldn't' pay more than 5 or 6 Euro a pint. Dear enough I suppose but a lot better than touristy Nice. The quickest way to go broke around here is to use a taxi!

Anyone hear of any spare tickets for this? Before I give a cut of cash to one of the reselling sites. Am going to be in France anyway while this is on so will definitely head along.

Check the various threads on here; a few people have said they have spares, which might be still available.

Thanks, I'm more a lurker here so thought all discussion was confined to this thread. Do you mean the general rugby-related threads?

I'm fairly sure that on the day or over the weekend I'll pick a ticket up, as I say I'm already in Toulon that weekend as I'm travelling around France/Spain for a bit soon. But it'd still be nice to be sorted beforehand.

Me and a mate are after tickets if there's any spare going. Based in Antibes but heading to Toulon in the morning to chance our arm.
