The fact of the matter is that both Earls and D'Arcy deserve to be there. D'Arcy should have been selected ahead of Hook, who could always have been called out if a fly-half, as opposed to a centre, got injured.

Heard Flutey's injured. He would've started tomorrow night if he was fit, if this is the case, then Darce will surely get selected. Flutey was last ditch cover for out-half but Hook's already there. In fairness Darce should've been there from the start.

It's minor, just a precaution that he's not playing.

Been treated rather poorly I'd say.
Should have continued his holiday in SF and told Geech where to stick it.

Stupid thing to say really. As if Darce was going to turn down selection for the Lions. Its a pity he hasnt had any game time yet but he will get a good crack on Tuesday and I think he could well feature in the second two tests. As long as he doesnt throw his toys out of the pram like u seem to be doing.

The lack of game time might not be them thinking he's not good enough, more that they know what he is capable of already in the area he was called up as cover. He proved in the Barbarians match that he can step in and put in a good performance alongside people he wouldn't normally play alongside. They've seen plenty of him alongside BOD in the centre for Leinster and Ireland so it's not a high priority to give him game time there - they have to give the other members of the squad a fair shot as Darce is only a late call-up.

I've still not given up hope that we could see him popping up in the test 22 before the end of the tour, given that BOD and Bowe and possibly ROG and Fitz would be in the line-up - all people he has played with for Ireland.

Yeah you're right. Calm down and all that.

It seems odd that wings are being played out of position at centre rather than giving him a proper crack. Particularly galling when Shane, who hasn't strung together two decent games in a row in almost a year has been playing almost every time I look at a TV!
