where could i watch the match before the slane concert?

Post by garryowen man »

Hi guys

Im attending the oasis concert in slane on saturday.

IM travelling by bus.Unfortunately the match is on the same day.

Ive been told that to watch the match at slane i will have to pay 150 extra to get access to the garda compound.

Does anybody know anywere were i could watch the match.
I have been told that people are not allowed in to the village
is this true?

Any help would be greatly appreciated from a lifelong rugby and oasis fan

You could stop in Ashbourne and watch it in any of the pubs there. Kellys beside the garda station is probably your best bet. Then you could get a taxi to Slane. Might cost you €10 a head if there are four of you in the taxi given the day that's in it. Phone number for the local taxi company is 8010902

Watch the match in a pub in Dublin city centre and then get the concert bus from Parnell square. Plenty of time

ive never had a problem getting into the village before the gigs, but the best option may be to go to kells and watch it, then head on to slane

Not to slane! And defo not on concert day! Unless you get the big seater and pile a few more people in then tenner a head would cover it I'd say!

Not changing the rates but the traffic in slane and all roads to slane is gonna be a mare and the charge is gonna be higher than a straight run into slane.
