Got the new DVD today. Have only watched the documentary part so far but can safely say it's an infinite improvement over the joke of a dvd they released in 2005. Would also regard it as better than the 2001 release but not sure anything will ever top the 1997 Living with the Lions one.

The version released in Ireland also contains a lot of bonus footage with the Irish contingent (mainly Luke, Rob, Tommy and DOC) so would recommend getting it instore rather than online.

Yeah, it was really good. Not as good as 97, but way better than 2001 and 2005. I got the 'irish edition' which has a disc of extras featuring Irish players. The players really seemed to bond well, and across national lines. Rala and Andy Powell are the stars!

Just finished watching main feature. Geechs is class. Really came through how much he buys into the Lions. Heart on his sleeve every second of the tour. Nathan Hines is a witty fecker. Agreed, not as good as '97 but certainly worth the watch. Always interesting how you come away from those with different perceptions of people. My opinion of Vickery went up significantly and I already liked the bloke. Worsley came across well too.

Got it in HMV in Dublin, though Xtravision and Tesco didn't have it.

How does ROG disaster in 2nd test come across behind the scenes?

What are POC's speeches like?

Speeches aren't anything to write home about. Nothing to match the Jason Leonard speeches in '97 from any of the captains. To be honest, Vickery impressed me more than others in the dressing room.

The closing minutes of the second test are fairly heavily edited. After it happens they don't mention it at all. However, one of the coaches (Edwards I think) can be heard saying to put the ball dead instead of going for the up and under.

Watched the DVD over the weekend. Andy Powell naked was a little more than I needed to see

Apart from that horror it was interesting viewing.
