Hi Seosamh, I'm sure you have got tickets. Log in to your account to check as the email notifications seem to be coming in later than the tickets have been allocated. Good luck!

For those flying into Heathrow and heading for Twickenham, Bus 490 is a direct service. Bus Can be picked up at Terminal 5 and Terminal 4 which can be reached FOC by the Heathrow Express/Heathrow Connect Rail Service from Terminal 1 (where Aer Lingus and BMI arrive/depart). Bus 490 also goes from Hatton Cross which can be reached FOC from Heathrow Central Bus Station on Bus 285. Bus fare to Twickenham is £2.30

For those staying in the Hounslow area or are on the Piccadilly Line, Twickenham Stadium can be reached by Bus H20 which connects with the Piccadilly line at Hounslow Central Station. This Bus ends at (Ivybridge) Twickenham Tesco, which is besides the coach park at Twickenham Stadium.

http://www.londonbusroutes.net/times/H20.pdf

The 281 Bus from Hounslow which normally goes right past Twickenham Stadium is diverted during Match Day, as the road from the Stadium to Twickenham Station is closed due to crowd control.

All single Bus fares in London are £2.30 unless you have an Oystercard in which case the single Bus fare is £1.35. (Leap Card, eat your heart out!).

Other information for getting around London by Bus, Tube, Train and Riverboat can be found on http://www.tfl.gov.uk

Damn, wish you'd posted this yesterday. I'm staying out at Heathrow and the transport appeared so complicated that I booked a parking place in Twickers for £35.

Never mind - at least I'll have the car outside the door after the match ends - no standing around in bus queues.

We're staying near Marble Arch in Kensignton. Does anybody know if we can travel by tube to the stadium all the way or will we have to switch to non tube trains for part of the journey? I presume we should give ourselves at least an hour to complete the jounrney?

If you are at Marble Arch walk down Park Lane to Hyde Park Corner. Get the Tube from Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly Line) direct to Hounslow Central (Heathrow bound Train). When exiting the Station at Hounslow Central Turn left and go to the Bus Stop besides the Pub (The Bulstrode). Get the H20 from there to the Stadium. (See my post above in regard to the H20 Bus). I normally travel to Twickenham Stadium from that stop. Allow 90 minutes from Marble Arch to Twickenham.

London Waterloo to Twickenham is the direct train route from London. You can't get there all the way on the tube. There are two speeds of train - one takes around 20 mins and the other around 45 mins (and has more stops). Cost around anything between £9 and £16 according to www.thetrainline.com

On international days these trains can get so busy that you can't physically get on them, but they run pretty regularly and I don't think it'll be quite as bad as so many people will be staying out twickenham or heathrow way.

HF...........I discussed this with you before I think?

Thinking of bringing the "proper" camera to Twickers as we've secured great seats in the lower stand that may permit some decent snaps being taken with the oul 70-300 lens.........would you see an issue in getting the camera in to Twickenham?
Do "Stadium" rules apply here or is it something governed by the competition/event organisers(in this case the ERC)?
