Got tickets and Hotel sorted since the last group match but booked into the Holiday inn Brentford lock; Flying in and out of London Luton (talking to a mate in London said it might be further than Gatwick but is better serviced for getting into the city)

Took a chance on Saturday and booked two €30 flights to Stanstead on the Friday morning. Booked a hotel in Heathrow a few weeks ago.

Just needs tickets and a way home now.

Flights booked, I'm going via Manchester. Out Friday morning, back Sunday evening. Will take a coach to London.

Accom sorted aswell. Now all I need is a ticket!

Woo hoo!, haven't been to an away game since Murrayfield in 2009!

Back on topic;

Took a punt on Saturday evening and booked DUB > Bristol Friday AM, Bristol > Dub Sunday Arvo (€140 all in for 3 people on ryanair). Train into London on Sat AM (do one or 2 touristy bits in central London), out to the game and back to Bristol on Saturday night. Accom sorted in Bristol for 2 nights. Match tickets sorted on Saturday too.

Technically all Leinster's home games in 2011 were away games for me since I spent it in Edinburgh.

But yeah, I hang my head in shame and beg forgiveness.

On the red eye to Bristol on Saturday Morning at 06.35, back 13.10 ex Bristol on Sunday
Took a punt last Friday and paid €40 each
Staying in the Travelodge in Teddington
Will hire a car and drive to London as the train times don't really suit
Will have 2 spare seats if anybody is stuck for a lift.
Expect to get tickets in the lottery

Booked same flight to bristol that morning and coming home on the 8pm on sunday from Bristol. Also booked Friday, got 4 flights for around €60 return. Looked at same today and they were over €300. Glad took the risk, have tickets already due to lottery issues on the last 2 finals. Not enough in murrayfield and then too many in cardiff. We were seriously out of pocket. Rented car for €60 so all we need is accom. Excited and nervous now, allez les goodies!!!! :)

Seems to be a decent selection of hotels in the Waterloo neck of the woods, it's also the handy for train to get out to Twickenham. That's were myself and the lads are gonna hold up.

Any idea what airport would be better to fly into? Gatwick or heathrow? Looking at flying into one and leaving g via the other.

Heathrow is closer but Gatwick is easy to get through with trains via Clapham Junction.

Ryan Air have just added a 23:40h departing Gatwick to Dublin, Sat 19th May.
Just booked a day trip for €289. Not bad compared to AerL and charters.
South West trains: Gatwick to Twickenham via Clapham Junction is £13 roundtrip.

I notice Killester travel and others hiked there prices by €100 since final whistle in Bordeaux.

Gatwick is a good option in my view. Miles further than Heathrow as the crow flies but the transport links from Gatwick are much more straightforward and about the same in terms of time.

But good luck to anyone who hasn't already booked.

Heathrow is on the Tube (Jubilee Line i think) so it's not too bad.

It's just the fact that flights into it are dearer that seems to be the problem a lot of the time. It suits me though.
