He coauched Bective at one stage? Could it be possible.

If its family reasons its unlikely, if its player power, then there's always a chance.

After the Indo on Monday and GT today, EOS is under serious pressure. English Soccer managers have been sacked with less public criticism.

Family reasons??

Family AND personal reasons. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Chav coming back - think he's fit again now so it all came to a head. Understand the players' views on this one I have to say.....

The Welsh fans are seriously pissed off. I hit GWLAD for a while, they reckon it's all player power and a row with Johnson. There was even talk of him sitting in a car reading a paper during training??

By the sounds of it, could have been that, potential bust up with WRU over contract negotiations. The official press release sounds as if he's been pushed as much as walking. One way or another, the "Family Reasons" sounds like a load of Bull.

Taffies reckon he's going to take over from EOS. Other option is Leicester job??

We hope & pray? We'd still need a Backs Coach though?

I don't think he would be the greatest man to take over Ireland. Johnson is the man is behind the Welsh skills and style of play and not Ruddick

According to Gerry Thornley on NewsTalk this morning the WRU still haven't signed Ruddock up to a new contract (current one expires after the 6N). Wins a grand slam and can't get a new contract??? As bad as the blazers are in this neck of the woods the welsh guys are worse then useless.
Maybe our breed of blazers have already given him assurances about future employment -second thoughts that would make way to much sense to be true.

I reckon its premeditated.

He was rowing over contracts.
He can't leave after the 6N, and come straight to us, so he jumped ship early, on a guarantee that he has the Irish job after the 6N.

I hope,

I hope,
Ruddock in with Knoxy as part time backs coach....that would be the ticket....

This is fascinating but EOS is contracted until the world cup next year. He isn't going anywhere and Ruddock isn't going to take a demotion and come in as assistant coach.

Brian Ashton was 1 year into a 6 year contract when he was fired from the Ireland job. Don't think contracts are that relevant in cases like this to be honest - though I think the guys who offerred him the long contract should be called to account......the same guys who knifed Gatland and brought him in in the first place.....we're watching you Messers Murphy and Coleman......and we haven't forgotten your roles either Messers Millar and Wood.....

We'll know after the Welsh game. If there isn't a significant improvement the press will take EOS to the cleaners, and the IRFU will have to reconsider its overall position.

Financially, there is a problem sacking him, but as it stands not winning games never mind championships is costing the Union a firtune.

The financial deal would depend upon what we paid Ruddock - and as you say, being wankel rotary engine for the next few years has a financial cost too......

EOS is so lucky. Wales will now be in disarray and Ireland will probably beat them. Another stay of execution!
