I live in Edinburgh and plan to travel to the Italy and France games via train or car. As it stands it looks like each weekend will cost around £100 for travel(minimum), £100 food and booze, £50 match ticket minimum and then accomodation if there's no mates couches to sleep on!

£250-£350 is a sh!t load of cash to be spending for a few weekends in a short period of time, let alone more if there's quarters or semis to go to.

Something not quite right there

You are giving out about a £250 weekend where you are spending £50 on a ticket.

That is about right

In reality: 4 in a car driving from Glasgow to London: 400 miles will cost you £100 in petrol each way or £50 each total

Lets not forget that it is 681 days away as well

True..it's a good old stint away. Fuel prices were based on a spin to Worcestershire which cost ~£45 each way. The tickets are still very heavily priced considering the RFU will still get a piece of the concessions/advertising etc.

A WC will never be cheap for the punter. It would ease the blow a bit if prices were lower but the RFU know there's enough expats in the uk(and paddies on the doorstep) to attend the Italy and France games(and pay those prices) and then enough who simply want to attend a world cup match for the others. My point is... which I didn't specify above TBF, is, Why is SA vs Asia 1 only £20, where Ireland vs Europe 2 £50??

Scotland, France, Argentina and Italy all have games with a much lower ticket pricing(for some games) for no apparent reason.

prices are a scandal !!!
F... the rosbeef

I was happy to be able to make a tour at this RWC

hotel are bad and expensive in england

ballot means you can not planify a tour

no packages
best hope for russia canada (pity)

they want us to pay

get lost

I will apply to all interesting ballot tickets france england ireland wales
if i have the chance to get one
I will trade it against a france one at paid cost (but for englang, it will pay for the others)

hail for the black market !!!

result i might see one France pool matches
hopefully against ireland (after trade)

travelling two times to englang will be enough for me (money you know, and smelling hotels)
one is more likely

money speaks
they will get what they want !!!

disgusting

ps: the british did contest the way whe (French) handled tickets in RWC 2007
as being not fair
a joke
1/4 of the ticket will go to english "fans"
I appreciate them
when they come to us
but
it is not fair....

I can not say i am disappointed
I expected that

an angry french parisian fan

just for us to compare

Makes no difference if you apply for them today or on the last day, isn't being done on a first come first served basis.
