I think people will stand up and applaud when he scores the winning try.
That would be my plan anyway.

Re: BOD last home international
I'd like Joe to pull him out of the game with 10 mins to go so the crowd can clap him off, but that's about as far as I'd go.

This just has back 5 injury written all over it.Logorrhea wrote:I'd like Joe to pull him out of the game with 10 mins to go so the crowd can clap him off, but that's about as far as I'd go.
30 Mins D'Arce to go down, McFadden on.
70 Mins our last sub Marty Moore comes on to replace BOD.....?

Just move Healy to 12 and push McFadden to 13 and you are sorted.Peg Leg wrote:This just has back 5 injury written all over it.Logorrhea wrote:I'd like Joe to pull him out of the game with 10 mins to go so the crowd can clap him off, but that's about as far as I'd go.

Now there is an experimental lineup.
Re: BOD last home international
Its been long established that it's Sean Cronin who is the heir apparent to the to 12 slot!!
Re: BOD last home international
Would a chant of "One more year" be out of place tomorrow?
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I've heard there will be a presentation after the match to him. Fine with that once the game is done.Logorrhea wrote:I'd like Joe to pull him out of the game with 10 mins to go so the crowd can clap him off, but that's about as far as I'd go.

Apparantly that's why the ladies aren't allowed to warm-up on the pitch and have to use the back pitch.Donny B. wrote:I've heard there will be a presentation after the match to him. Re: BOD last home international
It would be great if the old Waltzing O'Driscoll song could get going. Perhaps on 13 minutes 13 seconds after the 2nd lineout of the 2nd half. Organically of course.
I'd imagine it will be a sustained applause followed by chants of "SIT DOWN!"

Re: BOD last home international
Does anyone seriously think Brian O'Driscoll wants or would appreciate a minute of sustained applause on the 13 minute or a half assed rendition of ffing waltzing O' Driscoll????? Mother of God!
Seriously he is playing a match. That's all he, or any of the players will give a flying fock about. I'd say he cant stand all the slightly hysterical fuss and shite thats been built up around this. Let him play his game, cheer everything he does. Massive standing ovation when the game is over. Job done.

Re: BOD last home international
Damn you Dave Cahill
Too many ticketmaster fans to get a chant going in LR
Last home (league) game v Edinburgh might be a better chance
Just checked something out, of his 140 Internationals, 2, yeah 2, were off the bench
and 5th highest point scorer of all time which aint bad for a non kicker

Just because a post upsets you, that doesn’t mean that it is wrong. People have different views in all aspects of life, this is a key ingredient to an interesting conversation.
