Despite the similar topic, my query is did we ever go to Paris for the last game with the Championship resting on it. Certainly not for the 6Nations that I recall and not even for the 5N as we rarely played France last.
Maybe the brains out there can give a definitive answer.
Did we ever go to Paris last for Championship?

'74?
"Munster could join the French League, or an expanded English / British league."

Ireland won their first three matches in 1982 Five Nations, winning the Triple Crown in the process. They only had to go to Paris and beat a French side who had lost their first three games to complete the Grand Slam. If memory serves me right, Ronan Kearney made his debut as a late replacement for Willie Duggan in the back row.
France gained their first win of the tournament and avoided the Wooden Spoon by winning 22-9. Ireland won the championship but tournament form was turned on its head in Paris in springtime.
HMMMMM
A sobering thought for those that have us over the line already.

“As you all know first prize is a Cadillac El Dorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired.”
