Saturday November 8th @ 17.30 V South Africa
Sunday November 16th @ 14.30 V Georgia
Saturday November 22th @ 16.30 V Australia
I would not be surprised by an Irish clean sweep.

It'd be a nice touch for the Georgia game to be in Ravenhill.

That's a bold statement, Aus have really improved under McKenzie.Broken Wing wrote:Saturday November 8th @ 17.30 V South Africa

If we have a fully fit squad to pick from and a confident mid-field, we'll certainly be a test for them all.

It would be good but then it won't be a test international (for us at least) due to the stupid Aviva rule. It's very doubtful Georgia will draw a huge amount of fans anyway.outcast eddie wrote:It'd be a nice touch for the Georgia game to be in Ravenhill.

I have a young boy (7) who I like to bring to the matches against the 'lesser' nations as the crowd isn't too big so certainly looking forward to that.jimbobjoe wrote:It would be good but then it won't be a test international (for us at least) due to the stupid Aviva rule. Maybe the IRFU will bring back their "3 game package deal" that forces everyone to buy tickets for all 3 games, now that the feel good factor is back.jimbobjoe wrote:It would be good but then it won't be a test international (for us at least) due to the stupid Aviva rule. No denying that it's a bold statement and I'm not saying it's in the bag, just that it's not beyond this Irish set up.Peg Leg wrote:That's a bold statement, Aus have really improved under McKenzie.Broken Wing wrote:Saturday November 8th @ 17.30 V South Africa

As a side note, if we beat France in the RWC (and that really has to be the aim so that we can avoid BNZ) then we probably face Argentina, win that and it's Australia, England, Wales or South Africa in the Semi. The summer tour and these November Internationals, along with the Six Nations, means we get a shot at everyone before the tournament.

Looking forward to the Georgia game actually. Great to see them get a crack at the top tier guys. We don't play them often enough.

Re: November Internationals
Georgia are also the newly crowned European Nations Cup champions so it's a chance to, ah, finally determine which is the better competition, the 6N or the ENC......

It didn't go too well for us the last time we played them. I still have nightmares about that game.offshorerules wrote:Broken Wing wrote:Georgia are also the newly crowned European Nations Cup champions so it's a chance to, ah, finally determine which is the better competition, the 6N or the ENC......

Re: November Internationals
I was there. It was the worst I have ever felt after a game, more so than losing last November. To realise that we were effectively out of the WC after two games against what could be termed minnows.hugonaut wrote:I was about to say the same in reply to Jezzer. My next visit to that stadium was a lot more enjoyable.
Re: November Internationals
As was I. My legs were shaking all the way out of the stand and down the stairs. Not metaphorically shaking, actually shaking. I think I was in shock!the spoofer wrote: I was there. Re: November Internationals
I would. It's not so much the Aussies though, more the Saffas. We'll have a better idea after the RC were both sides are at, but I don't like having them first up.Broken Wing wrote:Saturday November 8th @ 17.30 V South Africa

Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Re: November Internationals
We beat SA and Aus convincingly the Autumn before that world cup too. That was after a great six nations also. SA used that tour to blood new players and rest some if I remember, it culminated in them winning the world cup. I certainly got ahead of myself thinking we were contenders after the 2 wins. I'm going to keep the expectations a bit lower this time.

Re: November Internationals
We're now in (or will be soon) a RWC 'cycle' meaning that all Internationals must be designated as tests therefore the Aviva sponsorship mean it must be held in Lansdowne Rd.jimbobjoe wrote:It would be good but then it won't be a test international (for us at least) due to the stupid Aviva rule. Re: November Internationals
Schmidt and his men will have their work really cut out for them beating the saffers and aussies. Anyone who is watching super rugby would know so. They look like two serious contenders come crunch time. Players like Izzy Folau, palu, Jesse mogg are playing really well for the aussies, their hammering of us last time out was no fluke. And with South africans like Burger 'back from the dead' and the sheer power they have in the pack and pace out wide, we'll need a fit and firing O'Brien and Ferris in our backrow to have any chance. These teams will be a big step up from what we faced in the six nations truth be told.
Re: November Internationals
You should start going to Munster matches so - always seems to be a small enough crowd at themoffshorerules wrote:I have a young boy (7) who I like to bring to the matches against the 'lesser' nations as the crowd isn't too big so certainly looking forward to that.jimbobjoe wrote:It would be good but then it won't be a test international (for us at least) due to the stupid Aviva rule. It was a joke btw, before any of you start getting on your high horses
