The guys who left Wales knew that they weren't helping their international careers. They might have been able to continue playing for Wales, but they were making it harder to get picked.

Obviously missing a trial match is an unexpected additional problem, but most of these guys were aware of PRL player-release policy. It's unfortunate for them, maybe they'll think harder before taking a foreign contract.

This will cost PRL clubs because any advantage they had over French clubs in terms of geography and language for competing for contracts has been eaten up by their pointless actions.

We are always a few injuries away from struggling :(

Bath disgusting treatment of Henson says a lot about the PRL and how much they care about the development of their players and the game as a whole
Know its a but different for Henson and his nomadic career but could other players have just told clubs where to go and played?
Not sure there ended up being that many that didn't get eliminated from availability for other reasons in the end. George North and Rhys Gill were playing in the final, Ryan Jones got injured, Owen Williams got banned.

I don't think it was an important enough match to be picking fights with your employer over. If anything it saved Henson and James the humiliation of being part of the possibles.
