Re: WRWC France 2014
I wonder how much gas in the tank England will have for the SF? 4 Day turnaround after a tough game like that is a big ask. Hopefully, that'll be a big advantage for us.
The sport that unites Catholic, Protestant and dissenter has had its day of days. Pity anybody who can't enjoy it. Some day.

Pack are strong but the Irish have handled them before and our backs are better and fitteroffshorerules wrote:Saw some of the French match and their pack looked very strong.

Hope you're right, have to get past the English first but hopefully they'll do that.

Re: WRWC France 2014
This is possibly one of the best prepared squads Ireland has sent to a RWC, they have all their analysis done on the remaining 3 possible opponents and game plans to suit each of them, from news within the camp they are in good form and know what they have to do to progress, they have it in their minds they can win and at this stage belief is half the battleoffshorerules wrote:Hope you're right, have to get past the English first but hopefully they'll do that.

It's nice to have a team backing themselves instead of talking up the opposition.

Re: WRWC France 2014
Great to see Paula Fitzpatrick playing at 6 and O'Brien at 8, was worried O'Brien's injury was tournament ending as she seemed to be in a lot of discomfort coming off. Fitz had a fantastic game against NZ good to see that being rewarded.
I found it strange that she was played at 8 on Saturday when Sharon Lynch, who would be more used to 8, was played at flanker.

Actually NZ Wales 51/7, 12 minutes to play. Final score: 63/7
Ireland will play "home": your team has been acclaimed during its warm-up, England booed.
Au revoir.

Re: WRWC France 2014
Wow....English scrum is very powerful!
We all dream of a team of Sean O'Briens......
Re: WRWC France 2014
Oh dear. England very strong out wide. Going to need the first score of the second half to have any chance
Re: WRWC France 2014
Hopefully we can regroup at halftime and get back into it. That's 18 unanswered points from England.
