Why are we playing only the local mob, when chances are we'll only be facing sh opposition after the group stages? Are we afraid of having our players and/or egos beaten up? Very shortsighted, imho.

The SH teams will be otherwise occupied around then playing the Rugby Championship, same as they do every year. Next year's version might be an abbreviated one due to the World Cup but they are still playing it.

NH teams left to play each other in combinations that aren't playing each other in the pools a couple of weeks later.

Southern Hemisphere teams have the natural advantage of their championship falling later in the year, this getting more matches/time together as a team heading into the RWC.

I'd imagine most of the squad will be played as much as possible to get them match fit. Downside to that are injuries. Its likely a few top players will be ruled out of the world cup.

There always are a few missing. Ireland probably more than any other country in the 6Ns are missing key players at the moment. Healy, O'Brien, Earls and Trimble all would have a very good shout of making the squad if not be certs for the 23 man match day squads. So the more top level rugby they get the better in 2015.
