World Cup jersey 2015

Post by Fitzybobs »

Does anyone know roughly when the Ireland World Cup jersey will be released, am back in Ireland for a few days in June and would love to pick one up then. Postage to Qatar not cheap! Regards to all the leinsterfans posters I've met up with and been helped out by over the years - you know who you are!

June might be a bit early for the actual jersey but there are already a few Canterbury RWC2015 items available.

Its saying will be available 24th July here - http://shop.irishrugby.ie/gifts-c5/irel ... rsey-p3272

Has anyone seen these yet? Will the ones the IRFU sell be without sponsorship?

There generally is a decent amount with the RWC badge made available, so here's hoping there's a chance to pick one up without a gammy plastic "3"

That'd be my thinking ;)

I still have the last test RWC one actually.

Bit like wetsuit material. Damn warm for cold nights anyway!

The place: Canterbury UK offices

"Okay Tarquin and Jocasta, we have the new England kit to launch. Obviously we don't want to just put it out there, we have to generate some buzz, get the twatters twitting and instantgemming. So what we have planned is a two month campaign of teasers backed by players wearing the jersey in the shadows - get some discussion going on in the cloud as to what it will look like, what colour it is, that kind of thing - actually Tarquin, what colour is it?"

"Its white"

"Oh"

I’m a bit disappointed with the pricing of the jersey

IRELAND Home Pro Short Sleeve RWC Jersey €87.50

IRELAND Home Pro Short Sleeve Jersey (next year’s six nations jersey) €81.50

IRELAND Home Classic Long Sleeve RWC Jersey (cottony with collar) €75.00

IRELAND Home Classic Short Sleeve RWC Jersey €69.00

Which basically mean the IRELAND COMMEMORATIVE RWC 2015 TEST SHIRT €150 is actually the TEST jersey that used to cost €110

Ordered this - not planning to wear it though, was €150

For those wondering about the prices, RWC gear always has a premium on it, given its licenced.

A "revolutionary match shirt" in a box?

Clearly the IRFU are worried about the GAA hogging all the 1916 anniversary attention.

I was not keen on the jersey initially. But seeing it on the official IRFU site makes it look a lot better. I love how they got an "average" sized person to wear it ha!

http://shop.irishrugby.ie/kit-c2/jersey ... rsey-p3272

Still though. I am spending €700 at least on my trip to Cardiff. I am not willing to put any more to the cause!
