Contract renewals.
First EOS - 2007
Then Dekko - 2011
And NowJoe - 2015
Will they never learn?

Its a smart move. He's probably the best coach in the history of the world ever ever.

Then again it'll probably all turn to shite during the world cup........................ Schmidt out!

Great to see Ireland are trying to secure Joe for a longer term.

It will be interesting to see if he signs on for a few more years, or I'd he chooses to keep his options open.

RTE reporting Joe is contracted til RWC but I thought it was summer 2016?

I reckon he will sign to 2017 at least, if he signs for longer it really has to be 2019, Gatty will get Lions head job again if he wants it but Joe will probably go as an assistant
You can rest assured therell be a break clause if an All Blacks job comes up, maybe even Super Rugby head coach

difference with successors is Eddie didnt win anything (with arguably better bunch of players) and had been there 6 years, Deccie had a very poor run between the slam and the contract renewal

Eddie won several triple crowns iirc. I think its just that nowadays we're not that bothered by them but I remember them being a pretty big deal at the time.
