I know they got close to NZ and Aus, but they look like they're relying on talent, at a time when "great gameplanning + good talent" will beat "good gameplanning + great talent" 7 times out of 10. They're the France of the SH.

Kane Douglas on for 20 minutes of getting hammered by NZ. Now 41-6 with about 13 minutes left. Don't think even Kane can turn this one around.

was one ferocious clearout by him, cant remember who it was on

Think this starting Aussie side whether on purpose or not eliminated a few players

They have to start Pocock & Hooper, which means Skelton out as he cant jump (or push)
Cooper is a luxury item they can ill afford, dont know why Giteau doesnt get a run at 10
White is too slow to get the ball away

Bit of a problem with all the halfbacks as theyre nearly out of form, but they have to let Phipps get over his one bad game
If theyre not backing Foley they need to give someone else a go

Can honestly see Cooper not going to RWC at all, more than enough 10 cover elsewhere

Way too much aimless kicking from the aussies, cr@p half backs, lazy slow locks, Sio dogshit. AAC has to be in at 13 over Kurindrani who cant defend. Gits, Phipps, Pooper are nailed on at this point, no matter the opposition, Genia's decline is something to see, at this point what is he fighting to be third choice, I'd just about have Stirzaker ahead of him, out of all their games he has been comfortably the worst 9 on display, possibly worst in the Championship.

yeah 13 does seem to be a weak spot or Cheika likes having a big lump there

and theyve plenty of good wingers to fill in for AAC

There was always going to be a big backlash from the Kiwis after losing the last one, McCaw's last game on NZ soil etc.

Replacing SBW with Nonu not only replaced a guy who was strangely pedestrian with the best inside centre in the world, it also restored Conrad Smith back to something like his regular standard of performance. Carter was hugely improved at No10 as well, as was Read at No8. Both of them were poor last week by any standards, not just their own. Victor Vito was way more effective than Kaino, who had the worst game I've seen from him in seven or eight years last week. Whitelock is just obviously a better player than Luke Romano.

I think Sio is going to be the best Australian loosehead in a long, long time. I'd be surprised if it doesn't pan out that way. Wouldn't be as down on Kuridrani's defense as you are, although AAC does give you a very experienced option there [with Drew Mitchell stepping into the team on the wing].

The drop off from Kaino was weird, he's usually ultra consistent, everyone else you'd expect to have a dip in form, SBW's been up and down all year, ditto Read after his head injury. The Wallabies had no business being that dreadful, even allowing for NZ clicking all over the place. I think Kurindrani is great going forward, straightens the line, loads of power, but he has always been too ropey in defence imo and yesterday was no different. Chekia has a lot of players in different positions, but for a few, none of them put their hands up. Would you put money on them to reach a final?

Received an email back from Nike after enquiring as to the availability of the Argie test jersey they used against the Boks. They dont stock it and and cant tell me who does... Awesome customer service, I mean why bother manufacturing the f%~king things if you aren't going to sell them  . the only one I have seen is on ebay for a heap of sheckels, might have to dip into the funds and take the hit, its some strip. Canterbury should take note, thats how you design a jersey.

You do appreciate that Nike is a huge multi national company and just because the possible intern answering your general query doesn't know quite the story for a single use jersey in another continent for a team that the company who place little emphasis on rugby these days added clause added clause long meandering sentence ellipsis . . ..
