I'd say judging by the match last night that it's POM who might need 'em...

He had always dreamed of pulling on a green jersey and running out at Ellis Park after all

Could increase Munsters representation on the Irish squad by 25%! Not to be sniffed at.
Seriously though, pity is its yet another backrow, its centers and locks where we're thin.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I know Nucifora arrived after CJ but you'd wonder why the IRFU allow project players in areas where there's strength and depth available.

We saw our deep our backrow reserves were with a couple of injuries (POM and TOD) and a suspension (SOB) in the 1/4 final

+1

Though not entirely sure this answers previous comment?

CJ was really good on Friday, do you see him more as a 6 or an 8 AB0?

Cope land looked solid at 8 to me and ran a good support line for his try.

TOD wouldnt have gone or been called up anyway

project backrower makes sense as if theres still plenty of IQ players in that position then Munster have a good backrower (signing) who becomes IQ later, not like say if it was halfback or TH (3 years ago)

So many down in Shelbyville, have a hard and/or wide on for this guy. He's the anti-Jamie. They'd love him even more if his first initial was P...God help him if he buys some Beats by Dre and opens an instagram account. Such notions

Cope land looked solid at 8 to me and ran a good support line for his try.
Friday night was his first start at six in quite a while, but he was seriously good. He made over 20 tackles ( next best had 13 and only 3 others made double figures. He was still Munster's most prolific carrier making 13 carries and forced at least two and possibly three breakdown penalties ( third one a bit away from me and not positive it was him) Despite his continuous and effective presence at the breakdown his discipline was excellent and as far as I recall he did not concede any penalties. His last five minutes were unreal.

O'Leary got MOTM, ( what a step up he is from other options, although Boss will probably stay ahead of him in the Irish pecking order) but Stander's performance was outstanding.

His tryscoring rate ( one try every 144 minutes) which is unrivalled by any forward in Irish rugby and probably any backs bar Gilroy, Earls and Zebo, emphasises his ball carrying strength and crucially his finishing ability.

With a full complement available I see him playing 8 for us. To accommodate Copeland in a back row he will probably play 6 a bit more as Copeland is in my view unsuited to blind side. Copeland will still have DOC and a returning TOD ( might be available for Xmas period) to contend with to get a place.

Internationally, his prospects are only enhanced by showing such versatility and while everyone sees him as Jamie's competition for a place ( realistically he is and is probably already second choice number 8 ) the likes of Jordi Murphy and other candidates for the 20 jersey have more to worry about. I imagine Joe will take the opportunity get him into the "system" as soon as it arises.

Some might call him PJ, I call him "Siege"
