Jack McGrath vs Samoa 09/11/2013
Dave Kearney vs Samoa 09/11/2013
Martin Moore vs Scotland 02/02/2014
Jordi Murphy vs England 22/02/2014
Robbie Diack vs Argentina 07/06/2014
Kieran Marmion vs Argentina 07/06/2014
Rodney Ah You vs Argentina 07/06/2014
James Cronin vs Argentina 13/06/2014
Noel Reid vs Argentina 13/06/2014
Rob Herring vs Argentina 13/06/2014 (open to correction regarding his IQ status prior to coming to Ireland)
Jared Payne vs South Africa 8/11/2014
Dave Foley vs Georgia 16/11/2014
Dominic Ryan vs Georgia 16/11/2014
Robin Copeland vs Georgia 16/11/2014
Jack Conan vs Scotland 15/08/2015
Nathan White vs Scotland 15/08/2015
Tadhg Furlong vs Wales 29/08/2015

Project players are highlighted in green. With Strauss and Stander also qualified and T'eo, Aki, Van den Heever, Herbst, Roux, Bleyendall, etc all in the system it will soon be possible to resurrect the final trial, albeit, under a new format.

Don't believe Herring was Project Player - grandparent qualification I remember.

Things could become a real jokeshop in a few years. I hope the IRFU don't think people don't notice because they do. I think the IRFU need to put a cap on the number of project players per squad to 2 or 3. We've never had so many Irish players coming through so they can't say they need these players.

romantic IRFU is dead and gone its with O'Leary in the grave

Herring is ancestry, as is Marmion

sure Deccie started this business with Strauss, or do we say it was Andy Ward?

also the statistical bias of there not being as many eligible residency qualified players before Joe

Just as a matter of interest, who gets the credit for the six players capped between Deccie's last and Joe's first games?

Robbie Henshaw vs USA 08/06/2013
Stuart Olding vs USA 08/06/2013
Tommy O'Donnell vs USA 08/06/2013
Jamie Hagan vs USA 08/06/2013
Mike Sherry vs USA 08/06/2013
James Downey vs Canada 15/06/2013

I often think that who gives a guy his first start is less important than who gives him his 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. Of course one must walk before one can run, but repeatedly picking a guy is a more significant statement than capping someone in against tier 2 or below when the Lions are away, or the day of a big final etc.
