Are Rugby fans Government Voter?
Election around the corner and 26th Feb the fancied date. But Ireland play in Twichenham on the 27th Feb, how many of the 10-15,000 Irish supporters are Government voters who might be important in marginal coonstituences?
Anybody fancy the 19th Feb?

That could be a bad move by Fine Gael. South Dublin ivy leaguers and rich farmers/landowners are their backbone.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Fine Gael didn't actually do that well in Dublin (at least considering the collapse in FF's vote in the capital), made hay in a swathe of the country through the midlands out to Galway and down South.

Now Labour did well in Dublin last time out (but obviously won't this time).

Don't expect a GE until after the 1916 Easter Rising anniversary is over.

People getting all bent out of shape by polls that show parties movement in popularity within the margin of error and assuming that something seismic is happening. It's really really f%~king annoying.

If it's part of a trend (3-4 polls) it's useful indicator. I can see the govt doing this. There'll be a handful of seats across the country won by less than 100 votes(I think there was one in Dublin won by 13) so it makes sense to give your candidates every chance.domhnallj wrote:People getting all bent out of shape by polls that show parties movement in popularity within the margin of error and assuming that something seismic is happening. Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

It is your democratic right not to vote.
It is your democratic duty to vote.
