Thought he was very negative and very repetitive in his criticism of Joe.
He was obviously well briefed by Hook before he left the building.
didnt see much of it, but EOS and Shaggy appear to hate each other

not a fan of DOB butting in to agree with people/make himself sound smart
Not half as much, not even one scintilla of a miniscule fraction of a splinter of a percentage as much as EOS and Hook hate each other.

Well to be more accurate, Hook hates EOS, I doubt Eddie even remembers his name.
Obviously they hate Joe even more.
A good example of the enemy of my enemy buddy system.

they roomed together in the US

am pretty sure EOS hates him, the snoring, the keeping him up late at night

plus Hook definitely a massive clockbocker when they were in hotel bars

I know they did. I also know that Hook fully expected to be named Irish Manager after helping organise the media side of the putsch against Gatland and when it didn't happen he turned against Eddie in his 'punditry' and in return Eddie tried to get him sacked from RTE. Eddie lost interest in him after a while though, which hurt Hook even more.

The other side of the coin is that Joe shouldn't be immune from criticism, he is the defense coach and he had a pretty mediocre tournament in that role - in the last game of the tournament the same holes in the defense that were gapingly apparent during the last game of our previous tournament were still as broad

I'm coming to this late, but I thought Eddie was pure entertainment. The man just did not give a shyte, it was the most fun I've had watching commentary in ages

Nah I thought he spent too much time trying speculating as to what was in Joe's head and not enough time talking about what was going on on the pitch.

That's what popey and shaggy were for. EOS going off on a one man assassination job was priceless, the man's a bitter caricature and it was a joy to watch him getting the knives out. For me the best was the attempt to damn with faint praise something like "this was some progression, but not a lot" he was like an angry Paul Daniels.

FFS! Have you no decency. The mans not even cold in his grave and you're comparing him to Eddie O'Sullivan. How is Debbie going to deal with that?

Oops, I missed that news. Bad taste in ignorance, apologies if I offended anyone. I loved Paul Daniels.
