Jees I'm not envying Hallam Amos out there. Great game and scrum laws really adding to it.

Ah....missed opportunity there....they've really got to be getting 7 points from field position like that. I hope they dont regret it.

They've had plenty of chances. Making the kiwi shoulders look very gentle. They only want to play in one direction

Wales used the pull back pass to great effect and then stopped using it and lost

Thought Wales ran out of puff up front and NZ ramped things up brilliantly with the subs. Great game, pity it petered out towards the end though.

Thought a big turning point was when Biggar brilliantly took that mark and booted the ball down the field. Had they kept NZ in their own half for a while the pressure would really have built on them but NZ managed to regroup and score soon after.

Yeah. You could see them tire and tighten up. Tipuric a big loss from the bench. Wales played well, but kiwi attacking game is so good that even being not at their best it could easily have been more. Wales might get similar treatment to ireland 4 years ago out there.

Somehow they're ahead at half time. Australia trying to throw it away. Some odd decisions from Poite too.

Didn't think Joseph was gonna get to foley for the try so that one was a close call. But fair play to England for the way they've dug in. Itoje really stepped up too. He really is in the bend the game to your will category.

I'm banging on about these scrum changes a bit, but looks to me like Poite might struggle with them. He was the poster boy of the 'just reward the team going forward' school of refereeing. Didn't really seem to give a monkeys on the finer detail of what was actually happening. Not all his fault-the 2 front rows are at it a bit too, but quite a contrast in the 2 games this morning.

He's just marched England from their goal line to points, via a yellow card with some dubious calls.

first june test against NZ is always the game to catch them off, they're relatively rusty by their own standards. fully expect them to hose wales next week

believe the hype about itoje, he's going to be the pillar of the english pack for the next few years. just a phenomenal player

Now in agreement with the French media that Joubert is a "dishonest referee". He deprived Australia just prior to half-time of a penalty and yellow card and subsequently interpreted a report by Owens precisely the opposite of what was reported. I would pay money to attend the post-match conversation between Cheika and Joubert..

Australia have been robbed by Joubert on numerous occasions so far but they have also caused themselves problems with poor handling (in wet conditions) by both half-backs.

Astonishing decision to give the penalty to England. Owens tells him to check a cheap shot push in the back by Farrell, and he changes the interpretation to a crucial penalty for England.

Having said that, Australia weren't good enough, and I don't know why they turned down the kicks at 23-17 with 20 minutes to go. All over now in any case.

"English papers copy" as they used say in the old days. Stuart Barnes has it right. That has been robbery by England but they have the series. The ref was appalling. But the Ussies made too many handling errors to take their chances and therefore cannot only blame Joubert. But England defence was impervious to Australian attacking.

I thought he was dead right to reverse the peno even if there was f*ck all in it. Mostly you wouldn't see it given but Farrell did nothing wrong it was Foley who changed course. Owens had no business interfering IMO.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
