Peyper is dreadful, he did tell Murray he could kick it dead like that.

North to blame, criminal handling. Davies and Sexton looking good, Murray too.

O'Mahony looked like hurt himself in the lineout too. Hope not, very good Irish performances on this tour and he is doing a good job of staying on top of the ref without crossing the line. Would like to see Henshaw at 12 on this team and Best at 2 to be honest, but the lack of any ambition or enthusiasm/enjoyment in attack by the lions is a bit dispiriting really. That's killing the concept more than selection even.

I agree but reading that has just reminded me that Te'o is playing! Genuinely haven't noticed him once.

You could see POM running in at HT. He was limping badly but at least he managed that.

No doubt North made a mistake lads, but it's poor conditions. Halfpenny getting so close means that one mistake beats them both. You want your defence to have trip switches that if they get past one then another obstacle kicks in. Halfpenny is selected as being defensively sound, which he generally is to be fair. But he backs off a metre and there is no try. There's no benefit to being that close to secure possession - North is sliding and they have to let him up anyway.

Don't disagree at all that Halfpenney was poor but if you go down on the ball like that you've got to secure it. He was half off the ground and snatched at the ball, exceptionally poor technique.

That's a red for me. He knew exactly what he was doing, he dipped himself so doesn't matter that Halfpenney did IMO.

Watching that in slow mo actually helped him. You see the hit better in real time. Bad, bad tackle.

He's been a notable weakness in an area of weakness for the lions...

Davies has been excellent though. Pack are eating Maoris.

I have to disagree....he's given them loads to think about. I didnt like him as an original selection to tour but he's really impressed me.

I how in the name of bejaysus has any international team lost to a team with Laidlaw at 9.

He'd be lucky to make J4 at wanderers ffs

I was purely talking about the first half. Think he's had a good tour and an excellent second half.
