Scotland squad has
5 Projects: Dell, Nel, Du Preez, Strauss, Visser
3 Granny qualified: Berghan, Maitland, Hardie
(not sure of Swinsons heritage)
And a couple like Seymour and Toolis who qualify on a parent who left Scotland as children
Thats leaving out the guys qualified by both parents but born and reared elsewhere

France squad has
4 Projects: Antonio, Spedding, Nakaitaci, Virimi Vakatawa
2 players without wikipedia pages so I couldnt check

we'll have 2 projects tops and one granny (Bealham)
Is it Irish hacks or certain posters on social media sites that have a problem with you if you weren't born here to Irish parents and have 2 grandfathers called Pat and 2 grannies called Maureen?
Yes, there are those of us who don't want to see a team named with Strauss, Roux, Heenan, Stander, Diack, JGP, Bleyendaal, Aki, Payne etc

So, yeah, I would have a problem with that.

Wish him well in recovery but I think he has been overrated of late.
He's important in terms of Scotland's match day 23 but he's not in the same class as Furlong or even Ross.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Fagerson will probably start, and while a promising young prop he will get accordioned by any team with a vaguely hefty front 5

Agreed, people were talking him up for the Lions last season after a not better than decent 6 Nations. Woeful defensively, bit of the Jannie Du Plessis about him, misses so many tackles. Fagerson is a better player and has pretty scary potential.

I was thinking that McGrath was a bit unlucky to miss out when I saw Marshall made it but the more I think about it him not being included along with some of our younger backs probably is a blessing in disguise.

Injuries and forty man squad

Tracy over Strauss seems the only call made so far, exiles policy maintained

Is Bowe still on a central contract which guarantees selection?

I'm suffering a bit today with a migraine and I did miss McGraths inclusion and mistook my Marshalls, Mea Culpa.
