Re: Ireland u20 2017-2018
France team named, Montpellier bound Daniel Brennan starts at tighthead, we can expect lots of balls/joe articles on why isnt he playing for Ireland and working for Premier Dairies
More importantly, the French blindside is called Woki, best named player sinced Remi Martin

Monsieur Brennan played for the French 20s v South Africa and Georgia in last year's U20 World Championship - so he is committed to the French cause.

Pretty sure that rule is no longer valid, but could be wrong.
either way he is french, everyone should forget about him.

No he isn't - the French BaBas were their next national team last year and u20s can no longer be used as a disqualifying level.neill_m wrote:Monsieur Brennan played for the French 20s v South Africa and Georgia in last year's U20 World Championship - so he is committed to the French cause.
He is however, to all intents and purposes, French so why would he want to play for Ireland alright

He is up there too. Christoph LaMaison was good too. We need to get back to the really french sounding teams of yoreLar wrote:I'm quite liking Jefferson Poirot.simonokeeffe wrote:France team named, Montpellier bound Daniel Brennan starts at tighthead, we can expect lots of balls/joe articles on why isnt he playing for Ireland and working for Premier Dairies

You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

No, he didn't come into the Irish side until the year after the tour, at the same time as Smith, Saunders, Staples, Clarke and Geoghegan.simonokeeffe wrote:89 Lions too?blockhead wrote:Maybe its been already mentioned but No22 Angus Curtis, son of David Curtis.

Rob Saunders' son played for the u20s last year along with the sons of Michael Kiernan and Brendan Mullins. And I feel even more old!

Re: Ireland u20 2017-2018
Yup and Alain Penaud's son would be on the senior team too except for injury. Alexandre Dumoulin is Marc Cecillion's son, but the least said about that the better.

Re: Ireland u20 2017-2018
Niall Saunders is back playing btw. Made his debut for Harlequins in November. No idea what his career prospects are but the blood issue he had sounded horrible. I thought it was a sudden thing but he'd had it for most of his life, really impressive to overcome it like he has.
