Yeah I still reckon they can be good at the World Cup too. They did so much of the hard stuff but were undone by sloppy passes, dropped balls, or being ripped in the tackle far too easily. It was really frustrating but do think they showed enough to suggest there's talent there and that working on the set piece and restarts over the next couple of months will see them improve a lot.

Aungier great around the field again but got demolished in the scrum.

HOS still doesn't look like a proper scrumhalf to me. His passing is excellent but he seems very robotic and unable to play what's in front of him. If the plan is to get to the breakdown and pass quickly to the ten then he's great, but if someone else is at first receiever or beats him to the ball, or there are forwards looking for it then he hesitates. He doesn't seem to have a break which nullifies his excellent pass somewhat, and he also doesn't seem to fancy the physical stuff. I know he's a scrumhalf but I felt he bottled diving on a loose ball yesterday, threw a risky pass out of play instead of taking a tackle, and hesitates coming for high balls when there's a defender in his face, which is odd for a guy who played fullback. That said, I think he's gotten sharper at the breakdown over the last few games so hopefully his improvement can continue, and his passing really is top notch and I shouldn't play down how important that is as a scrumhalf.

Curtis is really good. He's such a good all rounder that I hope his size doesn't affect him too much going forward. O'Brien was excellent as well, love how he pops up everywhere in both attack and defence, always aggressive and looking to make an impact. Don't blame him too much for the yellow card last night either.

Said this early on in the tournament but Silvestre really needs to back himself more. I wonder if he'd be better sticking to the wing where he'd less decisions to make.

The main thing that stands between this team and a really good JWC is defence. We conceded a lot of tries over the course of the competition. I always say that all you really want from a u20s team is a solid four or five players every year that will make it through to the senior professional ranks, and I think this team will deliver that and more.

to be confirmed on May 22nd, but i'd expect a few, especially up north.

Ronan Kelleher & Eoghan Clarke are both set to miss anyway, Clarke is medical, not sure about Kelleher.

Dan Sheehan can play hooker or back row. Ronan Kelleher is a big loss.
Doris for player of the tournament if he can stay fit. Everyone in Leinster is are very excited about his potential.

Really tough luck on the two lads who have really shown their stripes since Christmas. Good luck to the two replacements, you've big shoes to fill but opportunity comes to pass, not pause. Go well.

right, I know I'm getting on in years, but in my day you needed to wait for someone to die to get on the firsts to play senior rugby especially in the front row - this chap O'Toole blew his knee playing for fvkin Ulster. Jaysis times have changed.
