I reckon however they open the tournament, they'll revert to type against us
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014

Reading some of the English rugby media this morning and I have to say i'm bemused. Many of them feel that Ireland have such an 'advantage' over England because we rest our players. Whinging and moaning and looking for any excuse as usual. If they really want the odds evened, why don't we take population into account (of which they are free to choose anyone), maybe we could split England into 13 districts so the populations are the same, or hang on a second, lets take Wales instead with a population of 3 million, and split England into 22. Then we could give each of Scotland, Ireland and Wales several more tens of millions a year each and upgrade all the rugby facilites around the respective countries. Then we could up the wages of all their players, just an a little incentive. That sounds about even to me. And one other thing, the fact they are whinging so much about other countries using foreign players on residency rule is one of the most hypocritical things i've ever heard. Be careful what you wish for England, the fields are very green already where you are, as green as your envy. And lets not forget Ireland haven't even won anything yet and yet you moan....

I love it when they're whinging. The more they whinge off the field, the worse they are on it.

Looking at Paddy Power England are Evens, Ireland 6-4 and Scotland 11-1. To be the one that stands out there is Scotland 11-1 seems backable.

Not with their injuries. They'll score some great tries when given the opportunity but as long as their oppo bullies them up front, they don't have a hope.

You will need 4 wins to take the championship,

Scots have Eng/France home
Wales and us Away.

Might get the jump on a weakened Welsh team 1st up and would give them a reasonable chance of a Calcutta cup so not too far off the mark.

Could see them loosing out on BP's in a 3 way tie with ENG and Ourselves on 4 Wins

Theyve good depth there, bit more disruption for Scarlets though

So that’s Jonathan Davies, Rhys Webb, Dan Biggar, Liam Williams, Rhys Priestland, Jake Ball, Sam Warburton and Taulupe Faletau all ruled out for Wales. Talk about doing it the hard way!

6 starters 3 of which leave big voids

Were they all on Lions? Could it leave players more injury prone?

Said this before but statistically France win the 6Ns in the season following a lions tour.
Given Ireland's light Lions load, last summer, the indications are that Ireland have a great chance of winning this years 6Ns.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Davies, L Williams, Biggar, so two test starters?
Theyve very few centres with any reasonable test experience, his confidence might be back now but Scott Williams has had a slump in form at this level.
North has been injured and out of form
Halfpenny will be in just for his kicking

Might be hard marrying Scarlets strength with other players/coaches especially if they dont really commit to it

Wouldn't argue too much with your analysis but they are up against Wales away first game and Wales are decimated by injuries, home against the French next and being brutally honest who knows what sort of a team will show up. Then they have England at home. The blood will be up is my bet, they will beat Italy so theres only the small matter of causing a surprise in the Aviva.

All they need between then and now are some front 5 players. Easy!

Jones does talk a vast amount of Grade A BS to be fair. Makes some of the pundits/journos look like rookies on that front.

He has reasons to be fair. Deflect the media away from his team onto him.

Ok. 1st game Italy are at their most dangerous, but England should be able to handle them. Could be close for 1st 50/60 mins.
