Thought Scannell did well, O'Mahony having a very good game. Henshaw much better at 12
Keith Wood is the only front rower ever to win world player of the year. If Furlong don’t get it this year, a tighthead will never get it.

I believe that deliberate knock ons are now going to get yellow cards

Penalty and yellow card for Ireland for exactly what Australia did on their own line at the end of last week's game (and went unpunished). Also incredible that they've infringed all game with no yellow for consistent infringing, and we commit far fewer offences of a similar level and almost immediately get a yellow. What about their deliberate knock-on!? Useless refereeing.

It's a fair call. But Foley should have walked too

That's the point. Consistency.

They committed many penalties on their line also

Only close because of the referee to be honest. We were by far the better team, the ref kept it close.

And also us butchering a few great opportunities.

We were by far the better side. Ringrose & Sexton make a huge difference to that side.

POM, Furlong & Scannell excellent. Jordi had a good impact when he came on too.

Plus Oz don't need as much possession to score as we do.

Really cool heads and strong defence at the end. Very good performance, again the main worry is that we're not clinical enough with all the ball and territory we have, and a little vulnerable defensively against offensively potent teams like Oz or the ABs, even when they have little territory or possession.

Shocking refereeing, and that's being kind. Hope Joe makes a big deal of it

Three more tries conceded though. I never have confidence in our defence in the last 10m. We're so porous

Robson: Joe were you frustrated not to score more?

Joe: ahh, well, I think maybe their penalty count was double ours and our yellow card count was double theirs.

Joe is very polite in publicly giving out, that’s about as stern a rebuke as you are likely to get out of him.
