Is Penny an oversight from your list? Or do you believe that they will prioritise Leinster senior team over the Ireland U20's?

I agree, but maybe only for some of the tournament.

Leinster have 5 opensides- SOB and Connors injured. Leavy and VDF will be on international duty if fit. Penny is the other.

Ruddock is good there but might not be around. For some weeks anyway.

It's good to see more Connacht and Ulster representation coming through. It was embarassing some seasons there was so few players getting picked.

not sure there is much more this season..

Munster have a strong age group, Ulster are stronger at u19 and u18.

Kernohen & Penny have both played senior (provincial) rugby, any others?

Well done David Hawkshaw, a remarkable young man

Nope.

I think England and Wales have a good few with senior experience.

Apparently England are strong this year so maybe playing them first might catch them cold.

Are they not always strong? Or at the very least BIG!

Yeah they are always big and strong, this age group looks especially strong though.

Marcus Smith at 10, Cameron Redpath at 12, Ollie Lawrence on the wing, Joel Kpoku at lock and Ted Hill in the backrow are 5 to watch out for.

Anyone see Stewart Moore(Ballymena/Malone) play before? Was chatting to an Ulster lad who considers him the second coming which is impressive when you consider the players Ulster have brought through their academy before.

has a very big reputation, apparently has an injury and is unlikely to feature.

Ireland under-20's

Loosehead Prop

Michael Milne(Birr RFC-Roscrea/UCD)
Show Spoiler:
Image
Josh Wycherley(Bantry Bay RFC-Roscrea/Young Munster)
Show Spoiler:
Image
Gusieppe Coyne(Blackrock/DUFC)
Show Spoiler:
Image
Milne will be the early favourite to be first choice at this position after struggling to re-adjust to tighthead post celtic cup. Wycherley was a late addition to the Munster academy and while not the carrier than Milne is, he shouldn't be much of a downgrade in quality around the field. Coyne will hope to take his chance if given it, had been dominant for Trinity 20's early in the season and not starts regularly for their 1sts in the AIL.

Tighthead Prop

Thomas Clarkson(Blackrock/DUFC) - u19
Show Spoiler:
Image
Ryan Lomas(Roscrea/Galwegians)
Show Spoiler:
Image
Luke Masters(CBC Cork/Shannon)
Show Spoiler:
Image
Clarkson will be the early favourite for the England game here, despite being eligible again next season. Who will be his primary backup is interesting, Lomas is probably the best bet although his disciplinary record isn't very good, Masters has missed most of the season with an injury but was highly rated at u18 and u19 level.

Hooker

Dylan Tierney(Corinthians)
Show Spoiler:
Image
Billy Scannell(PBC/Young Munster)
Show Spoiler:
Image
John McKee(Campbell/Old Belvedere) - u19
Show Spoiler:
Image
Tierney was capped last season so will likely start the first game, the converted backrow will hope to hold off Scannell, who is highly rated. McKee captained Ireland u19 in the season and will likely have to wait his turn for a chance in the 6 nations.
