McCloskey called up to the squad. Glad for the lad.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Finn Russell's flounce out of the Scotland camp appears to be due to being told to stop drinking at the team hotel: https://twitter.com/jamiekborthwick/sta ... 28000?s=19

From what I've been told the senior players group told him to cut it out, and when he didn't told him to come back the next day and apologise, but instead he went back to Racing.

Too much time spent with Zebo methinks.

Can't believe so many idiots are defending him! Assuming it's true, how unprofessional can you get?!

Zebo has positively revelled in stirring it today.

Stirring probably being most of the S&C work he does in between games.

He got a lot more than just Finn Russell’s 6 white chocolates.....

(For the uninitiated, “white chocolate” is his nickname for Russell)

I'm very happy I stopped following Zebo a good while ago.

The white chocolate bit. Is this because Finn is white? Does that make Zebo a racist? :oops

Amazing that Schmidt might have found him disruptive in a squad ...

Edit:

Sorry

White chocolate is a chocolate confection made from cocoa butter, sugar and milk solids in case people didn't know.

Man does something really stupid and potentially ends his international career.

A friend of his sticks up for him.

The friend is then lambasted and said to be a bad influence.

What am I missing here?

The Zebo hate is genuinely nuts.

I've nothing against Zebo. I just find his use of social media to be "supportive" of Russell quite odd.

At best he's (Russell) been a dick and needs to get over himself. At worst he has a real problem and needs help, not trolling on social media by a teammate.

How is it odd that he'd use social media to support him? There's lots of chat on it slagging Russell off and he just responded with something supportive, completely normal and understandable thing to do. Russell deserves criticism and a clip around the ear, but public support from a friend and club team mate is a good thing.

I can't imagine anyone criticising Zebo hasn't sent a "don't worry about it" text to a friend who acted the eejit on a night out.

He’s making a joke out of it though. That’s not really sticking up for him.

I don’t hate Simon Zebo at all but he’s developed a habit of stupid public utterances. His tweet during the Saracens game was another example. He seems to be getting less mature with age.

How was he making a joke of it?

Edit: Don't think that even matters actually, the basic point is that he's sticking up for a mate so doesn't really matter how he does it. It's not like Russell did anything illegal or harmed anyone.

Sorry I edited it above before I saw that. Genuinely don't think it matters because Russell didn't do anything seriously wrong.
