Wycherley got a red near the end.
Lots of niggle.
Semi moot point but red seemed a little harsh perhaps
How is flying into a ruck unbound (I know no one ever binds but that's not the point) leading with shoulder and following through with an elbow to the head harsh??
(Thankfully) he didnt connect near fully and maybe Im watching too much MMA but didnt think that was much of an elbow

Wycherly was asking for trouble.

I don't disagree- I don't think there was anything malicious etc in it but I do think there needs to be an absolute zero tolerance to anything that involves the head.

Ref had no choice when he saw an elbow swung into the head.

No need to engage in any rhetoric about the player, it's just simple. That he didn't make a strong contact isn't that important. Heaslip didn't when he dropped the knee all day hose years ago, still a straight red.

You have to watch those day hoses. Refs don't like them....

Haven't seen it either (I try and avoid watching Edinburgh if at all possible) but I believe it was thoroughly deserved.

So what are your thoughts on your new coach so far.
And to steal some of your "miserable" thunder I think you're going to top your European Cup pool leaving the rest of us gasping for a second place good enough to get us an away QF.

I'm surprised it's going so well so far. I expected there to be much more disruption and there to be much more of a transition year. He's not even been in Scotland for 6 weeks yet!
He's added well to the squad, taken Toonie's style of attacking hare-em-scare-em rugby and gone up several levels! We've been fairly lucky so far with injuries (apart from Kebble- no significant ones since the season started IIRC but we are missing arguably our 3-4 best players). The 23 that played against Munster shows much better squad depth and much less drop off from the first XV compared with last year (Stuart who?!). And we've got Niko back (did I mention hare-em-scare-em?!).

In saying that, I wouldn't get carried away just yet- I don't see any runaway winners coming from our European group. I think it's very open as all 4 teams are capable of beating the others. In saying that I didn't see us beating Leicester 40 odd-0 in Leicester last season so what do I know?!

Jean Kleyn will meet with a specialist as a neck issue he sustained in the round-four clash requires further investigation. They're running out of locks fairly quick, if he is out for a bit it would be a big problem.

theyre praying Wycherly doesnt eat all the biscuits at his citing hearing

next few weeks they have Holland, Flanagan, and Copeland at a push
not sure if O'Connor seen as a lock anymore or just a blindside

apologies for the bating but would raise a hackle or 2 if they rocked up for the interpro with 2 Leinster rared locks

Apparently he's injured too now so it doesn't really matter!

So who have Munster (or Nucifora and Committee) found? All rumours gratefully received.

Fineen Wycherley gets a 3 match ban. Flanagan could play in the O'Classico.

BOD and Cillian Willis played against each other in 2009 (Leinster v Ulster) - did you specifically want cousins or any relatives?

The Fogarty brothers would have played against each other in both Leinster v Munster and Connacht v Munster games

ESPN
The Melbourne Rebels have got their man, signing the in-demand David Wessels as coach for the next two seasons.
The former Western Force mentor had been linked to a move to Munster and, according to reports from Ireland, the Pro 14 outfit was close to announcing a deal.
Was Nucifora talking about someone else the other day?
