Says O'Mahony on 450k and Furlong on 425k. Now, when you're paid those kinda numbers, you're laughing. But still, I find it a bit nuts that someone could decide O'Mahony deserves to get paid more than Furlong.

As a long as they've both signed, who cares.Peg Leg wrote:This with bells onCiaranIrl wrote:https://m.independent.ie/sport/rugby/pe ... 12045.html

Re: Munster 2017 -2018
POM does not make a fully fit irish squad IMO. So Yeah, delighted he's staying but if we (Ireland) cant afford to hold on to Stander, Murray, Stockdale, Conan, Ryan, Van der Leavy, Porter, Henderson, Aki and on and on, in a few years ill be back off the wagon, stealing pens again.blockhead wrote:As a long as they've both signed, who cares.Peg Leg wrote:This with bells onCiaranIrl wrote:https://m.independent.ie/sport/rugby/pe ... 12045.html

Re: Munster 2017 -2018
I am extremely happy that both Peter O'Mahony and Tadgh Furlong have signed up for three more years but this is less than half the job that the IRFU need to do as a matter of some urgency. Players like Murray, Stander, Stockdale, Conan, Henderson, Carberry , Van der Flier and a few others need to have their contracts sorted out so the provinces and national coach can plan for the future.
As a proud Munster man I think that when it comes to ensuring we have the strongest possible squad for the world cup in 2019 we should fold our provincial jerseys carefully and lay them aside to get a clear view of what the national squad needs

O’Mahony badly caught out for the try. Not totally dissimilar to Scarlets in the pro12 final last season. English teams all seem to be playing better this week though.

Looked like a no arm tackle on Colute after that break

Did indeed. Tuilagi fairly indifferent about the arms. Thought ref did well on the Murray one. Soft penalty but everyone knows what was going on.

Leicester really up for this, but their technique really is dreadful. 9 penalties so far, but really every breakdown could be a penalty on them.

That’s 10 and a yellow. Really.
Re: Munster 2017 -2018
Kilcoyne getting based in the loose out there.
Leicester's aggression working against them in the penalty count...the opposite of the way the same aggression would have won these types of revenge games in the more laissez-faire early to mid-'00s.

11! Before half time! Not a MOC masterclass this. To give o’Mahony credit, his mauling, in attack and defence has been excellent.

I never believed he was in serious danger of leaving Ireland. O'Gara made it very clear that the money he was getting offered was very competitive indeed (at least) and that the question was whether he wanted to leave. I think we all know where his heart lies. Delighted he's staying (as expected) and he's having a great game here.
John Ryan is some stoopid though.

Jesus, Geordan Murphy just gave the most ungracious in-play coaching interview I've ever heard. Really disgusting sense of entitlement from some Prem teams.
