Pro14 are going to have to do better next season with the scheduling.
Edinburgh V Leinster
Ulster V Edinburgh
Leinster V Scarlets
Munster V Glasgow
Scarlets V Ulster
Ulster V Glasgow
Scarlets V Leinster
All played during the 6 Nations. These are the best games of the season, apart from the derby games.

Think youre being a bit generous to Edinburgh but otherwise spot on

Might sound harsh but at his stage if you include Ulster you have to include Edinburgh. [Of the six teams named two in Conf A; four in Conf B - just saying]

Also they need to split the home and away a bit better lot of batches of matches home then weeks before next match leaves it difficult for some workers to schedule work rotas.

Jim Mallinder being tipped to take over the Cardiff job.

I rate him - I think he could do a very good job with them which would be good for the league. There have been some very good coaching recruits across the league in the last number of years

Having Lancaster, Cockers and Mallinder is an endorsement of the idea that this is a 2nd comp rate in the eyes of the english. It is interesting to see how they perform under union bodies rather than the private model.
Cobisiero wrote off his career at a preseason friendly against a 3rd string Leinster. You can already see in Cockers use of the Edinburgh squad that the demands are very different compared to Leicester. Not sure what conclusion to draw but right now p14 rugby is a better form of entertainment than the other 2 major comps IMO

Thought they already confirmed Geordan Murphy?

Given some of the injuries crisis the AP clubs have suffered then, by the numbers, squad use is probably very similar.

The Edinburgh job is probably the better of the 2. He seems to have more leeway to turnover the squad whereas in the Os I think Mallinder will have more budget constraints. It looks like the Dragons are getting the big budget boost.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Apparently they held talks with Murphy but nothing was confirmed.

It will probably come down to what sort of damage these pro14 teams do in the European cup.

I like the way the league is shaping up. Top class coaches appear to see it as a 'shackles off' opportunity to coach their style. I honestly don't give a F how "the English" view the league though. It's becoming a competitive league with great diversity in style and some very exciting teams. Lets just keep tonking them in Europe anyway!

2 games left this weekend.

Connacht have a hard game in Bloemfontein. Only Glasgow have won there so far.

Kings must think they have a shot v the Dragons. The Welsh side have lost all their away games so far and last win was in Sept v the Kings.
